Socorro 2017 - Diving with Giant Manta Rays, Dolphins and Sharks HD - Mexico

Diving in March 2017 at the Revillagigedo Islands (aka Socorro), Mexico on the Nautilus Belle Amie. We boarded the Belle Amie in San Jose del Cabo and traveled a day to the Revillagigedo Islands. We dove around the Islands of San Benedicto, Roca Partida and Socorro.

Amazing, I loved the part with the dolphins. Hammerheads were great, too. But I missed to see a whole smarm/school of them.

Never been to Socorro, but planning a trip at the end of the year. What's the frequency for abundance of wildlife out in the open? Was it an every-dive occurrence? How much reef diving is there?

Your colours on your videos are always great..can I ask what filters you used with the Inon lens? & is the dome port a massive improvement over just the lens. If that makes sense. Thanks!

Hey ruffa nuffa, in this video I didn’t use any filters and in general I don’t use them. However I want to try a couple out. So far I mainly did manual white balance in camera and used video lights. In this video I used the Inon dome port with the Sony rx100m2. The dome port gives you a much wider view. So you can get close to the animal and still have it in the frame. It‘s good when you are shooting big animals. Now I have changed to a different camera system but there I use a domeport too for the big animals. Let me know if that helps or just asks 😉

Yes it was a safari, it's the only way to do it. It takes about a day by boat to get there but it's well worth it. I'm going again in December.
