Actually the most of the people don't understand what physics is, even when they think they're masters, basically because the physics you learn in highschool is what I call toy physics, concepts are not formal concepts, you don't even use calculus, experiments are not studied in a scientific way you just see what happens and try to relate the phenomena with theory based on that toy physics. On the other hand, if you really know what physics is, I guess you don't need a video about "how to study physics", you must be a genius.

I think it has to do w more critical thinking skills and understanding the meaning of the problems and understanding what there saying....

'Growth mindset' - I know this is off topic and on the 'other side' - but if you're a History student at A Level why not try Sir John Fortescue 'On the Governance of England' in the ORIGINAL 15th century English - worth the sweat as he is fascinating on the balance between central government and other power bases - and on government by consent rather than simple royal, dictatorial 'fiat'. On the STEM side, 'How To THink Like A Mathematician' might be one good place to start - Kevin Houston's exercises in particular are really very good and are not just drill - he makes you think!

@martyded6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Alejandro Martinez Mathematics is not technically a science since you cannot make experiments to prove its statements. Its just a language or tool you use to make predictions in sciences such as physics or chemistry. Physics is really the fundamental science to which all others can be traced back. Remember, what you do is just what atoms in you body collectivelly do. The question of course is why math works so well in describing our physical world. Or is it physical .... ? Might be just a computer .... but that is philosophy, the mother of physics :)

No because Math itself does not have a fundament. You need to define axioms on which you build up mathematical concepts.

h4rder10 Not just a tool. It can be a tool but the goal of mathematics isn’t to serve other fields. That’s a consequence. It’s a pursuit of its own. It has its own goals just like any other fields.
