I'll make sure to constantly update this guide to keep it relevant throughout Phase 4 For AoE Rotation: Use Living Flame & Frozen orb for dungeons or large AoE packs. Only use on these boss fights (Majordomo & Sulfuron Harbinger) Regards to rotation changes: It currently sims higher to convert your crits into hot streak procs. Only thing that has changed is you can Fire Blast during you combustion window. Fire Blasts from Overheat will no longer count towards Combustion's 3 crits, and will no longer increase the stacks of Combustion. Personally I like using Brain Freeze for AOE with Frozen Orb to proc single target Balefire/FFB after using the LBs, LF, BW, CoC instead of using AE. I really like spamming single target abilities that have 0 cost and are instant, even on aoe (after the major aoe abilities), considering they do 2-4k crits.

Hey man, sorry for throwing a comment your way but I simple need to ask since there are no data on this. What professions would you say is BIS in Raid? It used to be Engineering due to the sheer amount of extra damage you could get in. However for Mage, I think it might be Enchanting as one of your BIS due to the Living Dreams Consumebale or will it be outscaled due to Engineering grenades and bombs? I would like to see some more data on this if possible! Thanks so much

@@PsDnK for phase 3 in Sunken Temple, alch & enchanting was higher dps on the sims I'd imagine its still pretty close. just having enchanting is probably the biggest one for the flat SP

For Season of Discovery immunizes are no longer within MC. I would assume it stays this way going into P5 and beyond

With the recent Mage changes : Mage "100% crit chance Fire Blasts from Overheat will no longer count towards Combustion's 3 crits, and will no longer increase the stacks of Combustion." I have seen a recent video where it is now best to macro fireblast on all your spells. I tried this last night and seemed to do really well. Are you able to confirm this?

I think the rotation stays the same as in the video. It currently sims higher to convert your crits into hot streak procs. Only thing that would change is now you can Fire Blast during you combustion window You can opt for a rotation where you spam FIre Blast on CD and get very similar results

Confused why you don’t take molten armour (thought it was 5% spell crit) and didn’t think Balefire was that good?

Balefire sims 550-600 dps higher than using molten armor. it also benefits from all talent trees

@@bdbmwer it depends on the other pieces in your current setup. you get a ton of hit now with ring runes & talents. since BFB benefits from all talent trees you only need 2% - 4% hit from gear.

Great video! Quick question: I’m in a position where I’m not hit capped (need 2 more hit to cap) and I’d have to farm a couple items to hit that cap, replacing some of the crit in doing so. Is it worth getting hit cap no matter what? I know people have said in the past it’s by far the most important stat, but with our pyro procs based on crit and ignite being so important, I’m curious if it’s even worth going out of my way to get that extra 2% hit and sacrificing 2% crit.

It's usually worth it to go for hit cap. However I recommend to sim your current set up to figure out how much DPS you gain or lose.

You want to pick up the 4p Tier set bonus. so maybe get the belt or shoulders instead, just depends what item you lose or gain more dps from As far as I know, you can only share links in view only mode. You would have to rebuild it and make your own set.

As soon as you get living bomb play fire. its simply just the best, you can also play a hybrid with imp blizzard if you prefer to aoe Blizzard grind like OG wow

Do you find taking incinerate is worth it when you're running overheat anyways? I was thinking about 3/3 Frost Channeling or Flame Throwing.

I dont get why we pick arcane hit for the fire build, doesnt balefire get enough hit with our frost/fire talents + gear?

The current BiS setup only gets 2% hit from gear It's 4-5 DPS with 2/5 vs 1/5 you can always move that point around depending on how much hit you have. Frost Channeling or Flame Throwing are my recommendations.

I tried molten armor and this build on kazzak and I did more dos by far with molten armor. It’s also a really annoying build for me cause of keeping up scorch stacks and resetting cooldowns while watching bailfirebolt. My dad brain can’t handle it while bouncing 10 kids on my knee

It's really just for Frozen orb damage. on single target it only sims 8-10 dps higher

why balefire and not the 5% crit? why even use it when you have frostfire bolt? and why arcane focus instead of arcane subtlety? and why improved firebolt when you never cast it? impact shurely would be smarter?

Balefire sims 550-600 dps higher than using molten armor. it also benefits from all talent trees You take arcane focus because the current BiS setup only gets 2% from gear, you can always swap this point around if you dont need the hit. I recommend (flame throwing, frost channeling or arcane sub) Taking imp fireball or impact is just a filler talent, stunning trash in MC can mess up certain pulls. also I believe it has Diminishing Returns so if you need to stun something the CC will be much shorter.

You can always go into that if mana is an issue, but because BFB benefits from all three talent trees this gives your main spell a bit more hit rating

spell immunities are not going to be in the game. Blizzard already confirmed this with making sure lock tanks can attack everything in MC

It's really just a filler talent to get into critical mass. There's not anything else to grab to gain more dps. You really only play frost for winter's chill it's 700-800 dps less than fire so having imp scorch in their build makes them the ideal candidate to maintain scorch
