My theory as to why we are "Tarnished"... We are all silver tears. And not just any. We are the silver tear artificial lord the texts mention. Silver meaning quicksilver(Mercury). Radagan and Marika represent the red primodial sulfer and the white pure sulfur. These along with salt which represents earth or the body are the 3 main elements of Alchemy. And allegedly in the correct combination produce pure gold. If the reaction is bad you're just left with tarnished metal. Hence the Tarnished may all be a failed line of experiments by Marika to create an artificial successor to Godfrey. She then settled for the Primal Misbegotten Champion Radagan before rebirthing him into a new form with the Amber Egg. After his betrayal we were her last option. Btw gold reduced to nanoparticles is red theres no way that isnt significant to the lore. Just not sure exactly how yet.

Chemistry was so over my head over 20 yrs ago. People were just starting to get the internet on their home computers when I was about 15. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and still do. It cost loads so we were only allowed on for about an hour a day. Students today are so lucky to have google and KZbin to help explain things. Good luck to them xox

#FACTS. We are the same age.. I'll be 36 next month.. I still remember when my mom got us our computer. She put her electric typewriter away and we thought we were sooooo cool to have a computer. I used to play that Mavis Bacon game all the time. Do you remember that? And don't get me started on installing the extra phone line for the dial-up internet. For some reason, my volume was always on 100. And the AOL guy, "Welcome. You've got mail." use to scare the shit out of me. Lol I low key think my mom used to mess with volume, so she'd hear me at 2am trying to get on the internet to get on Yahoo chat....which I should have NOT been in lmao.

And the longer it's exposed to air the hotter it gets until it explodes, exposed to water immediately exploding. To stabilize it dip it in oil and make sure no air gets in. I guess it reacts to the oxygen in the air so that's why we probably have the same response in water.
