It’s more about God punishing people for being sexually promiscuous and sexually violent. It's wasn't exclusively the homosexuality. First of all, Abraham asked God to spare the cities if 10 righteous people could be found in them, and God said he would. That righteousness being by faith, like Abraham's. The faith to believe in and follow God. Two messengers were sent to get Lot and his family out of the city. When the men of the city saw the messengers they saw that they were attractive. It says that every man from every quarter of the city came to force themselves (rape) the messengers. They were literally threatening to break down Lot's door to get to these messengers. Those cities were destroyed because the people were complete given over to sin and unwilling to repent. He says that they may know you, the ONLY TRUE GOD and Jesus who u sent (John 17.3) He said to direct worship only to the Father. Paul said to do away with the law. He said Jesus is equal to God. He said to pray to Jesus. How mind-boggling that Christians disobey Jesus and obey Paul. Thats why your considered followers of Paul, not Jesus. The only evidence of a trinity is an interpolation and removed from modern translationsby. If we read the bible sincerely, and believe Jesus was always God, then he authored and instructed killing babies, revenge rape, taking virgin girls as sex slaves, beating slaves to death as its one's property, incest, etc, you know God would never produce such filth. Xtians cop out of this saying that Jesus bought new testament, but he was always God. Or they say the old testament was for Jews? So then gods morality changes? It's one big metaphorical Solomon treatment from darkness of Genesis synthesis process to the light of civilization revelation. The story of Lot isn't the only case of mistranslated, or misinterpreted versus, it's one of many. For instance in the book of (Proverbs) pro-action we mistook the Rod for the Cane. We decided to recreate our version of what was actually stated in good sense. The Solomon verse in the book of Proverbs started out by telling us to give the children wisdom and gifts. This was the purpose of a spare rod being given so the children could learn the discipline of fishing for themselves. Rod is found in the water and air. The Cane is in the fire and earth. Second we then rewrite Cain being put on the earth as opposed to the original "in" the earth. This basically took away all meaning from the criminal justice system. We put people under in dungeons, hell, the hole, etc etc much like Cain came up and down from in the land of Nod. We nod up and down right? If you examine the full story of "know a Lot" Noah & Lot we start to comprehend much of what I'm saying.

Scriptures interpret scriptures. Ezekiel, Leviticus, Jude talk about the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah. Their main sin was homosexuality. Especially gang r*pe. The reason Lot was at the gate and wanted to give these 2 angels shelter. He most likely already knew what would happen to them. Maybe he even tried helping others. The Bible doesn't say I believe. But if he was at the gate and he helped these angels he probably tried helping others. Another thing about them is child sacrifice. You are right the Bible doesn't use the word homosexual but other books in the Bible tell you what they were doing in these cities. There were several sins.
