Arthur, Edward, Henry and Gordon were out looking for survivors when suddenly they all heard a whistle, and rushing towards them came “The Beast” he rolled of the line and crashed into a shed and killed one of the men, Fredrick. The four engines were terrified and raced away as fast as they could. The next morning the engines continued their search, a thick fog had rolled in making it hard to see, but they continued on. Later that afternoon the engines rounded a corner and were shocked to find Annie, Clarabel, Henrietta, Victoria and S.C.Ruffey, but what shocked them the most was Thomas, he lay on his side and had busted his lip. S.C.Ruffey and the coaches said they would explain later and to take them away, the engines were about to but Thomas despite his lip hurting told them to leave him there in case “The Beast” came back. The engines refused but Thomas said he didn’t wanna put his friends in danger again. Reluctantly the engines did so. Arthur and Edward took S.C.Ruffey and the coaches away but Annie and Clarabel refused to leave Thomas, Thomas reassured them that it’s for the best, the two reluctantly agreed. And so the cavalcade left, leaving the Fearless Fallon No.1 behind. Back at Killdane, S.C.Ruffey and the coaches explained what had happened to them. Later that night Edward’s driver got a call on his radio, it was Skarloey’s driver with some Devastating news of what happened to the SKR’s No.1. Skarloey was taking a passenger train when he started feeling funny, his driver got out to inspect but was horrified to find that Skarloey was being slowly mutated. Despite his mutations Skarloey knew he had to get the passengers home, so he struggled on. At Crovan’s Gate station the other narrow gauge engines were waiting anxiously for Skarloey to return when they all heard a whistle. Leaning to one side and making frightful noises was Skarloey, he limped into the station and stopped. His driver got out and tried desperately to get through to Skarloey, but to no avail, he knew the only option was to put him out of his misery, so he pulled out his gun, aimed towards Skarloey’s forehead and quietly said “I’m sorry” then BANG!!!! The other narrow gauge engines were horrified and broke down in tears at the loss of their friend, Rheneas especially. Slowly they all puffed away, Rheneas took one last look at his fallen best friend and brother and hoped he was at peace. He slowly puffed away with the other, leaving the the other Fearless Fallon No.1 behind…….. To be continued………….

July 7th We lost Frederick last night. Damn Engine went after the poor guy. He thought he was a safe distance away from the tracks. Boy was he wrong. Some workmen found his body in a old shed this morning after hearing him scream in pain It’s been 15 minutes since we’ve departed from Kildane. We’re keeping the fires as low as possible so no attention could be drawn to us. So far, we haven’t seen anything living. Only the fog rolling in and the swaying corpses of the dead trees. It’s freakishly eerie. While we were heading away from Kildane, We spotted what looked like to be a train off the line. Upon closer inspection, it was actually Thomas, who was derailed in a ditch. Both Arthur, Edward, Gordon and Henry were in shock when they saw him and we also saw Bob hiding inside the coaches and told us that the fireman was dead but he managed to survive but he was still too shaken to explain everything else so, Annie, Clarabel, Victoria and Scruffey explained on what happened and we thought Thomas was dead. We pulled Annie, Clarabel, Victoria and Scruffey back to kildane yard. We didn’t dare look back, because we’d only feel more guilty for leaving Thomas. We’ve decided to play it safe, and think of a strategy. Scruffey then started thinking about a battle plan. I’m running out of space to write, so I’ll explain it later. Change of plans, Scruffey has brake problems. This might be a problem for the plan we are making. We were planning to use him as bait for James, but because we are not able to move him our plan might not work out. We also heard cries for help in the smelters. We have to investigate soon or else we might lose more engines and men. Soon after, Skarloey’s driver called me on my two-way radio and told me the depressing story of what happened to the Narrow Gauge Number 1
