I’m so glad we didn’t end up buying the Vimel, this was the sofa we were originally going to buy but we didn’t like the lift up chase and fault that wouldn’t have lasted with young children, although I like the design of that one better, you had extremely bad luck, we ended up buying the kivik and chase lounge with footstool we’ve had it now over 2 years we have young children who stand and jump on it there is no wear on it at all, to me it’s a solid sofa I’ve also moved it around several times and put the chase on the left and right several times you do have to unbolt it all though, the only thing I have noticed which isn’t a big deal to us is the footstool is slightly higher than the sofa itself (not notable until your legs are up) the sofa cushions I believe has an extra toping on them for firmest I believe memory foam of some sort, and the chase has not so it’s more softer so after a while of sitting/laying you do get bum groove imprints when sitting which obviously re raise, I find the sofa sofa part itself more comfortable my husband doesn’t mind, also be careful of covers, I bought 2 sets one of the more expensive woven ones and one soft cotton, the material is very lose on the cheaper soft cotton and it doesn’t hold the shape of the cushions very well so I do not recommend the material, so would stay clear of that, this sofa I can imagine will last a good few more years and I’m pretty happy with my choice if you have and questions I will try my best to answer them

I’ve always got my sofas from Next. I recently bought furniture from Dunelm for the first time and it’s great value for money. Had chairs from there which have been great too. Never had a sofa though! xx

I have had fab sofas from IKEA in the past, lasted for years and handed on to others. Leather fabric, one corner l-shape and one two seater 😁

Hello, I just bought a sofa yesterday from dfs. It's called Lexia, not sure if it was in the shop where you went with Steve. Might be too high for doggies, but I think it's worth to have a look its very comfortable. On the website, the legs get your attention straight away, in real life they do not stand out that much... Hope you find your sofa soon 🙂🤞

So many people have said this! I had no idea that Costco did sofas but everyone says they’re amazing. We’ve ordered a sofa now but Costco sofas seems to have amazing reviews 😁

Have you looked at snug sofas? They have The Big Chill which you might like. I have the Rebel, it's really comfy ☺️

I think John Lewis have modular sofa's, maybe worth a look. A friend just bought one from there and had same week delivery (Next and M&S seem to have very long lead times from what I remember). Also, Snug might be worth a look. Good luck. Xx

I found my modular grey sofa at Costco of all places for $1000 aud which is about 600 pounds. Had given up looking and found it by accident. It’s called the Bexley 6 piece modular in grey and it’s honestly top quality and very comfortable xx
