As a speaker of English and also Scottish Gaelic I far prefer to hear Swedish. There is wisdom in those sounds and rhythms. One of the reasons I choose this podcast over any other! Philosophy, poetry, warmth, knitting and a treat for my ears!

I love your podcast Sophia! Watching you knit is like poetry in motion! I also love to hear you speak Swedish. My grandmother was born in Stockholm and came to the U.S. as a young girl, so it is fun to hear her native language. What a lovely, peaceful podcast!

I’m a native English speaker but I love listening to your podcast in Swedish. I must admit that I speak German and Norwegian so that helps me understand a lot of what you are saying. I think it’s sad that everyone feels they need to speak English on their channel. Thank you! ❤️

Sophia, you are losing so much weight but the sparkle in your eyes when you are by the water!! I would say it is like satin not velvet but definitely very gorgeous and ever moving. Thank you for the visit. Still sheltering in the US, my neighbor just went on the ventilator last night and his 9 mo old baby is suddenly sick, Mama just got over covid... I really needed the escape you provided.

I live in the US and I’m just grateful for the English subtitles! I seem to remember a long time ago coming across your podcast and thinking “her colorwork is so beautiful but I can’t understand a word she’s saying! I so want to watch this! “ So I tried to watch without understanding. Seems like some time later there were English subtitles. I was so glad!

I loved this episode. We were talking today about going to Gotland on our next foreign holiday. Probably not until 2023. I would never have known hoe beautiful it is before I found your podcast a few years ago. I love that you speak Swedish and would never wonder why. It's your native language. What temperature is the water now? How warm does it get in the summer? I love swimming in the sea but our water here on the west coast of Ireland rarely gets above 17c. It's probably about 14c now. Early morning swims are wonderful.
@sofiastales30123 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don’t live on Gotland anymore. Since a year ago, I live on the Swedish mainland that I find very beautiful. I showed more of the nature where I live in the last episode. This summer it has been around 20-26 degrees Celcius but now I don’t know, I guess around 15 perhaps.

Hello Sofia, of course you should speak your own language, and we in the UK can use the subtitles. I am so happy you are back, we did not get podcasts here for a long time, and now they are a bit different. Are you OK? Xxxx
