I ordered this nearly instantly, reminds me of the gold palette + triochrome and the mini gold. Since I am tan with olive undertones and warm blue eyes, I am super excited about this one. It definitely has more of a jungle/desert island kind of vibe, and just looks super unique. HOWEVER- this is exactly the kind of thing that will clash with pink undertones. If someone has a lot of redness and doesn’t wear very full coverage foundation, this will probably make it look neon in comparison. I could see a lot of people returning it at Sephora for that reason, which may be why these color stories are so hard to find.

Oh that second look especially is so gorgeous and totally my style, I'll definitely be recreating it once my palette arrives! I also couldn't resist getting all the eyeliners. I really love that they correspond to shades in the palette, so they go with any look you create and you can set your liner with the same color shadow. My eyelids will dissolve any eyeliner if I don't set it with powder, so I really appreciate that. I really hope she'll continue to release matching eyeliners with her palettes, I think it's a fantastic idea.

It’s the second look for me!!! I got mine a few days ago, absolutely love Citrine and Willow together. Agree with you that I wish there were more smooth metallics in here. Honestly though I see myself happily using this allll summer and fall long and throwing in shades from Metropolis and Bronze to mix it up!

Very pretty. So far every look I've seen people do I know I already have multiple palettes to do that same look. The colour story for me as someone who owns a lot of indie, ABH and ND is very redundant and almost few years too late😅

I have mixed feelings about this palette but I will likely end up buying it due to the greens and browns. I know that I won’t use the orange shade and the mustard tones minimally but I think I need it to add to my ND collection. Still crossing my fingers hoping for another cool toned palette next up (maybe holiday release) 🤞🏼 I totally agree with you in regards to wanting 1-2 more shimmer shades. I feel the same way. ✨

I just bought Tom ford tropical dusk as a splurge but omg you’re tempting me with these looks! Look 3 is my favorite but I’m going to try and see if I can recreate with things I have before I buy this one. I have metropolis so I’ll try and start there. I like the palette for my olive skin tone. That being said, I have a lot of warm toned palettes. I believe I can achieve similar results between a few palettes. I may pick this one up at a later date if it remains on my mind. I am being more selective with my purchases these days.

One color story comparison I haven’t seen yet, and maybe because it’s an older discontinued palette, is the Coloured Raine Safari Raine palette. If you search that on IG you’ll notice an edited down version of this color story. I loved that palette and am happy to have a newer version in my collection with Yucca. Also acacia is a type of tree in Africa, giraffes eat them a lot.

I don’t know if mustard colours would work on me, even though I have a light medium warm undertone, I tend to use blue and green a lot on my very dark brown eyes and always get compliments when I do. But this palette looks beautiful

Hi Sophia -- what do you think of the shimmers in Retro Glam? Trying to decide between the two, leaning towards the color scheme in RG. I have Metropolis, Gold, mini Gold which all look similar to this and I don't have anything similar to RG. I also think that will suit my olive skintone so much better (olive on olive looks like baby poop sometimes)

Second is not for me very safari, I wouldn't go with camu camu I would use somting other, and without willow, and I would instead add some taupe there, but if you are going for summer night looks, it is really nice, I am just saying what I would work for me, I would also change inner corner for 1st and 3rd look (in first I would put Febty highligher ans for 3rd classic gold), but they look both stunning on you, and 2nd is also very good, very particular and standing out for sure. I want this palette just because of metalics, and like olives even willow, and neutrals, but mustards are nit for me or bright orange and yellow so i am still thinking.

Hi Sofia! You are wright when you said that this palette is for deeper skin tone. I would say much deeper skin tone than you have. The only look I like for you is the last one. I love all three looks you created, but not for me. I just know that I won't wear it and it will collect dust. I always gravitate to cool tones and neutrals. I prefer greys, pinks, neutral browns, purples, and pastels. If it was less expensive, I would take a chance. I bought subculture and never wore it, not even once. I am fair with pink undertones (and natural dirty blond hair now). So this is a pass for me. Some of the Dior palettes have great cool tone combinations with great quality which I think is a better fit for me. I also like the new Chanel palette and the new Tom Ford one which is cool tones (only one was cool toned and I managed to track it down - that one sold out first). I purchased both of those and love them. I also prefer smaller palettes even if they are not as good a value.

Yukka, a Pueblo Indian word, is pronounced “yuk’-kuh”. The yukka is a succulent plant growing in the arid deserts of the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Colors in N.D.’s palette are similar to colors in some of the 40+ varieties of this unique plant. Google images yucca plant for pics.
