Of course Hank looks terrified. He deals with organized drug dealers, Cartel, brutal killers. He's in no way prepared for pregnancy hormones. That stuffs terrifying.

Sofie, the "science-acting" looks pretty convincing. I worked in a chemistry lab for several years. They are not actually showing the complete process of cooking meth or creating a poison - they ofc wouldn't show a "step-by-step"-guide in a TV show. But what is shown in the show - how they handle all the chemicals and the lab equipment, the setup, the props etc. - looks at least like legit laboratory work. Way better then what is shown in a lot of other TV shows and movies.

Yes it is. I don't know chemistry but in an interview the actors revealed they actually had a day with the DEA to learn how to cook real meth. This show was very serious about attention to detail.

Yes they paid attention to detail but they purposely didn't show certain things and they tried to show it out of order so nobody would go and try to cook meth this way or try to create a bomb when he did that in the exact steps but the crew did work with DEA agents and learned the ingredients and method of how to do it

Not showing to much details was probably more about keeping away those "let's try it at home"-kids, who never would be able to create meth, but handling dangerous substances could just harm themself and others. It's not like it's a secret how to cook meth. As Hank already stated in the first season, meth was even a legal drug in the past. There a for sure lots of pharmaceutical and chemical papers publicly available (in like university libraries etc.), where you can easily get a proper formula and description of the process. So anyone who seriously wants to go criminal, wouldn't need BB in the first place. In the end, that's probably something that BB overplays a little bit. Walt as the "master-cook" who get's a quality level noone else is able to get. I'm pretty sure, Gal as a studied chemist would have been able to get the exact same quality as Walt with that kind of professional equipment.

There are so many Breaking Bad reactors - most of 'em great - but you have a very special feel for the humor of this show! And you have a tough skin so you just laugh at the violence and the gore, which makes you one of a kind. It is a total joy to watch these reactions, just for that. Not that you don't appreciate the serious side of things, or that you don't have great insights and commentary, because you do! But all I keep thinking when I'm watching these early episodes is......"if she is enjoying THESE episodes.....I can't wait till she gets to all these other episodes!" Thanks, Sofie! I appreciate that she's not letting prior comments dictate her behavior. I've seen a few people say "You know this isn't a comedy, right...?" Says who? The show IS funny in parts, and if she thinks some parts that we don't think as funny to be funny, who cares? It's like people watch reactions just to see person #567 go through the same motions, to leave their same pieces of trivia, to hype up the same episodes.

@@blossom357 I am one of those who left such comments and I am not complaining. But this really is by far the most cheerful reaction to BB I have seen yet (and I have seen a bunch). Let's all enjoy it as long as it lasts. ;p I guess she is already on season 4 on patreon, so comments at this time can't dictate her behavior.

We had a ricin scare here in my home-city years ago. A group of wackos made processed some in a rural suburb and were planning to use it on the city. They were connected to extremist groups and militias in the southwest united states and the likes of Timothy McVeigh. My family is full of cops, doctors and health inspectors so I learned a lot about it as that time, sill scares the shiz out of me.

When Walt and Jesse witness the brutality of Tuco, they know what they are now involved in, and believe me Tuco is only 'low level'. A strange and disturbing scene when Walt tries to have sex with Skyler at the fridge and does eventually relent when Skylar says no. Jesse telling Walt that Tuco will have to be eliminated to save themselves. Walt explaining to Jesse that he wont be able to kill Tuco as he can't even open the gun. Again we see how amateurish Walt and Jesse are when stealing the barrel and not rolling it, like a scene from those compilations of the World's dumbest criminals. When Skyler unloads on Hank it's a great scene as Marie is one of the most selfish characters ever, and Skyler has much more serious problems. When Walt gets the pic from Hank of the dead bodies and the junkyard, they know they will have to do something. When Walt sees Jesse's car outside we just know it's not gonna be good, and it isn't. Can understand your need to binge this show, it is more addictive that Meth itself. Great to see you enjoying it so much, and when you have finished this series you gotta do the X-Files, Vince Gilligan is a master. One X-Files episode taught Vince Gilligan the impact of humanizing a villainous character, which ultimately was the key to Breaking Bad's success. Bryan Cranston is probably best known for his iconic role in Breaking Bad, but his guest appearance Drive episode of The X-Files helped make the entire show possible.

It's not accurate when making the meth. They brought a team of lawmen when creating it to help them out because they wanted it to still look real without, of course, showing millions how to cook it. They have some behind the scenes stuff on it. It's pretty cool
