I like how Damon is the "leader" here. Even Matt, despite the fact that they don't like each other, came to him first at the end of episode to talk about the things he learnt. Cuz it feels like everyone knows Damon will came up with some good idea or plan and they just trust his instincts.

Stefan's line- ''I can't do this anymore.''- was very symbolic. It's the same line he used in episode 2x05 when him and Elena were fake fighting and it used to be a code for ''I love you.'' Then Elena's line used to be- ''Fine, Stefan, whatever.''- which means ''I love you too.'' However, in this last scene Stefan used it differently and Elena recognised that. He also wanted to hear her response. And instead of ''Fine, Stefan, whatever.'' she said ''I know.'' It was their own unique way to close that chapter of their lives and I liked how it was executed.

I love the end scene between Elena and Stefan, it’s feels emotional, honest and mature, which is a nice change because Elena can finally be honest with her feelings

@@reallybruh6417 that's just the crazy fans that ruin the fandom. Love both Stefan and Damon, and even though i prefer delena i don't see a reason to hate stelena, their love is pure and good! Honestly sometimes i don't want to be part of this fandom because people make a stupid war of Delena vs stelena when they both have their good and their bad :(

TVD Season 2 Episode 5: Stefan: "If I say I can't do this anymore Elena, what I'll really mean is that I love you." Elena: "And when I say 'fine Stefan whatever' it really means that I love you too." Season 4 Episode 6: Stefan: "I can't do this Elena, not anymore." Elena: "I know." This is heartbreaking. A part of me likes to think that Stefan was reaching out one last time when he said he can't do it anymore to Elena and that she didn't reach back so he knew it was over.

Stelena break up was sad. They relationship was a huge part of the storyline till this moment, but I think it was def good move for them overall. Something was off between them since the end of last season and Elena becoming vampire, so it's good that they had that mature conversation and made hard decision about break up.

Totally agree. While re-watching the series I realized that their breaking point (even if they didn't realize it) was that time Stefan threatened to drive Elena off the Wickery Bridge to get revenge on Klaus. Up untill that point she would take him back no matter what he did but after that they tried to patch their relationship because they owed it to each other and the love they had before, but it was doomed to fail eventually. And after becoming a vampire Elena realized that while her feelings for Damon had been magnified, her feelings for Stefan remained the same. So after that Wickery Bridge incident we were watching last painful minutes of overtime, that finished here with this sad but logical break-up.

Stelena died the moment Stefan faked driving Elena from the bridge to piss off Klaus. I feel like this was the end. She saw him in a completely different way and he went too far.

Vampire Elena has more understanding of Damon's love for her than human Elena ever haď. As a Vampire she has changed and more acceptable to Damon's love and that Damon's little speach in 4x01 and Wearing off compulsion made her more fell for Damon to the point its getting very obvious. She couldn't deny it anymore.

From Episode 4 of Season 1. Bonnie: Yeah, they both dated her, only she chose Damon. And that drove Stefan mad, so he did horrible things to try and break them up. And no Stefan can't love Elena as a vampire....he can't accept that, it goes back to what Katherine said even about falling in love with her all over again, before he found out she was a vampire.

Tyler's whole idea of opposing Klaus has many shortcomings, and the belief that he would be able to overcome him is very naive (that's actually funny, especially when I've watched TVD many times, how some people forget who they are dealing with and think they'll give it a go. he could so easily defeat one of the oldest and strongest vampires out there lol). But I would also like to say that Caroline and the rest of them irritated me a bit in this episode. I'm not surprised by Tyler's reaction after Jer killed this hybrid (I don't remember his name now). He was a friend of Tyler, you could even say part of his pack. And he definitely deserved better. I understand that they had to do this to save Elena, but it's still not okay for me, not fair.

Its not a plot hole its already been done before. Bonnie's mom was turned to save Elena's life or Stefan killed Andy (again a human) so Klaus wouldn't kill Damon. They are living in a toxic world the rules for them are different, there is nothing black or white.
