@@markbeck3115 Try an Olight Olink magnet. Mine clips onto a belt loop and holds the light securely. On my SC21 Pro, the magnet is the correct polarity to mate. I'm not sure if all of the olinks will work on the SC21.

Even though I watched your review, by the time I got my lights I had forgot it was Anduril 1. I was getting frustrated that the Anduril 2 wasn't working properly.

Still not clear on the difference between the pro and non pro versions ? I ordered an sc21 pro , but the one that came does not say pro on the body ? It does have andruil 1 ( i think ) ,. How can i tell if is the pro version and does it even matter ? Thanks

I believe the pro has andruil and is slightly brighter. I would recommend contacting Sofirn and clarifying and getting the right product

I'm glad you compared this to the Olight Baton 3. I have both and much prefer the Sofirn. Less than half the cost, standard batteries.... and I haven't had 3 Sofirns sepaku themselves like my Baton 3. I'm on #4 of those. Thankfully Olight replaces them with warranty. My only gripe with the SC21 Pro is the bottom. It sticks out so far I've had it accidently activate in my pocket half-a-dozen times. They need to raise the body around it to shield it.

I was sold on Anduril II after fellow enthusiasts corrected me on UI activation. They make a black and green colored models that use Anduril II. The red does not use the Anduril II UI. I have some Wurkkos lights that also have Anduril II: TS21 and the SP36 Pro. The LUMINTOP EDC18 use to be my go to light, but I lost it and they stopped making them. I now use the Wurkkos TS21 as my main light. They use 21700 batteries. I have come to the realization that none of these smaller lights will maintain their high outputs for very long. They cannot, physics is a bitch! If you want high output for longer periods, you gotta go with something much larger/longer. I am okay with that. My throwers stay bright if I am searching for something. The smaller lights will be used when I need bright for a short period of time...like when I drop a small screw or pin from an AR build or WML rail adapter.

Complete newbie to Sofrin here. The battery/cell looks about the size of a C123 lithium battery. Could I use such a battery in a pinch if charger was unavailable?

Officially it's not recommended, CR123 have a voltage of 3v when full and the light here will operate down to 2.7v. Plus you have a bit of a size difference.

Very interested in the Sofirn brand but curious about the durability of the light as I'm a Fenix light carrier for over 15 years and they've never failed me. Do you have any info on the brands durability?

I would expect similar as far as internals, I don't belive Fenix are generally potted. The button might be an area of difference. Just speculating of course.

This flashlight DOES NOT have the original UI Anduril (1). I purchased one in Dec 2022. I Love the light and think it is a steal at the price. I almost sent it back because it runs Anduril 2. No more candle mode, lightening, etc. But the amount of light it puts out and battery duration are great. Not as quality a feel, but well worth owning one. I prefer the Lumintop EDC18, but the stopped making it. Ordered 2 EDC18 lights which I hope are actually the original version.

Anduril 2 has those modes, you have to go into advanced mode to get to it. Look up the chart and you will see.

I wouldn't advise rubbing the magnet on the magstrip, but I have never had an issue with the light in a front pocket and a wallet in the rear. Since most cards are chip these days it shouldn't be a big issue.

I know flashlight nerds enjoy this Andou operating system but it seems like way too much stuff to fidget with for just a normal person to ever GAF about. On/off and 3-5 brightness levels is plenty for a normal person.
