Another great review Charles, you are always my first port of call to look for a torch review. Straight to the point and I always appreciate the night shots. They will make or break whether I buy or not. Because I know your layout off by heart now it's a bonus 😊 I'm like yourself and always carry multiple torches when out. Hi Charles. Kevin from the Detroit, Mi area. Excellent review as always! I just received my Sofirn about a week ago and the bang-for-the-buck is unbelievable. If this technology was available even 5 years ago, this flashlight would be four times the price I'm sure. That TIR lens sure concentrates that beam. I especially like the concealed usb port. I think all flashlight manufacturers should adopt this method over the silicone or rubber usb cover which seems like a cheap approach to me. I have several Sofirn flashlights and they always impress me for high quality at a very reasonable price! Keep up the nice reviews!

good review thanks! I just think that Sofirn is leaving a lot to be desired, it seems that there are only two LEDs for the Sofirn brand sst40 or sft40. They are outdated LEDs, I want to congratulate Convoy who always gives options to the customer with several XHP50.2 or XHP70 LEDs. 2 now has the SBT90.2 and all for a good price.

I'm wondering how this would compare to an old 2400 lumen Astrolux FT03. I've been looking for a replacement with a tail switch. The Astrolux is still very good though.

Might be close but the FT03 has a reflector verses the TIR optics which the spill area is a bit weak. Thanks for watching!

Charles…. Is there a difference between High Lumens, and Lumens?? There are a lot of 30 dollar lights out there that say they have 100,000 High Lumens for 35 bucks. Or one with 990,000 LM for 28 bucks!! Then there are the ones you demo with 2-5000 LM’s for several 100…. Thx in advance..

In my opinion it has to be a little bit longer and needs definitely a Sideswitch for normal users and the chargingport could be in the tailcap.
