Sofirn SP35T SFN43 Review, USB C, Tactical, Is it really 3800 Lumens?

I bought my SP35T and a Wurkkos TD04 in the first quarter of 2024, almost two years since this video was uploaded. I have no idea if the 2024 edition has a buck driver but the SP35T is only sold with the Cree XHP50.2 emitter. They both have a near identical beam profile and identical modes of operation, but the TD04 has a moonlight mode that's really useful. It's a shame that the SP35T doesn't have a moonlight mode. 🌙🔦

Although it's quite larger, I prefer the Sofirn C8L.

I can't really say I have one, I get so many passing through my hands for reviews that I never use any one model for very long. Something I do carry all the time though is a Convoy T2 2700K. Gotta love that brand, no glue, easy to mod, easy to fix.

Thank you for the review J', do you think the thermal level will be better if we ' change the emitter with xhp50.2? since; its the load (led) that draw the current? These new sf’ leds are known as current hungry leds.

The SP35T measured a little over 13A for 2917 at turn on. The HS20 with just the XHP50.2 3V measured 11.8A for 2910, so there's not a heap of difference as far as current draw. Not sure about the heat though. I found the 50.2 3V runs pretty hot in these small hosts anyway. Better flashlights out there, I'd give this one a big miss regardless of what LED is used.

The newer version of this light doesn't have this LED. Hopefully, that has ironed out the flaws with the tint on this light.

Newer? Nope, just the XHP50.2 3V being the only difference. The tint was the least of my worries on this model. Might want to take a listen to the negatives if you skipped that part. The SFN43 version is still available on Sofirnlight

@@PiercingTheDarkness right, I agree. The tint is not the issue - it was just a poor all around choice for this light. Combine that with the poor driver, it's going to be a bad time. You can change the led but it doesn't do anything to help the bad driver

My SP35 switch failed not long after I purchased it, but I do have a 2nd unit that also had a bad switch. I'm just saying that Sofirn factory has poor quality control and these are things you'll encounter here and there. Some switches work just fine.

@@HyugaGenza Nah, that kind of switch is always very good, it's just these plasitc side switches that seem to be very poor on many of them.
