A great overview Martin. 👍 Kiwami can be used standalone, but for me, it's best used over the top of Fusso. Fusso gives a longevity that is unrivalled, but it's not the glossiest, and can look a tad "flat". Adding Kiwami over the top gives a really nice finish. My winter prep video detailed this process and combo. As for longevity I dont think you'll have any problems checking that car again in a month! Soft99 were a staple brand in my garage at one time when Nipponshine was up and running. Jackie was instrumental in bringing soft99 to the masses. I know you touched on the car condition in the video, but the colour match of that rear bumper is horrendous!
@ObsessiveCarDetailer
@ObsessiveCarDetailer 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, yep red is unforgiving with colour match. I couldn't live with the condition but my daughter only sees it as a mode of transport and only gets cleaned because I want to use it for the channel. Interesting that no one else has commented on the video content yet just the intro 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome to another comment by StuartH, welcome to my tablet. Those GT boys are getting a bit cheeky 🤪. I've got GT /three on the little 'un & have just been glossing the big 'un up with diluted BSD as it receives a lower level of love. The plan is to use /three on both for the winter. So for the first time ever, I'm out of the wax market. I never thought I'd hear myself say that !

🤣🤣🤣 Brilliant Stuart. I think that a lot of people who care about their cars will be going the same way. As you know, I am all GT products on the Audi and if it wasn't for the really good Reflect products I am trying on my car then I would be the same. Im only using wax on other peoples cars now mostly for the channel. You have to ask yourself if wax is coming to the end of the road. I still love applying it and buffing it off but it can't compete with products like GT3 & Sigma. Your comments have put a real smile on this old cranky face, 👍

With spry wax it takes you 5 mins to apply and it can make the drying easier as a drying aid. So applying it every wash beats applying something once every 6-12 months the layering over time can beat a paste wax. But paste waxes are more therapeutic and good for the hobbiest

I’ve have the soft 99 and heard a few people moan it’s hard to buff off... it must go on thin, as thin as you can lay it and a panel at a time or it’ll be like buffing off concrete, it isn’t forgiving... user error isn’t the products fault and when used per the instructions it’s a great wax and easy to use.. I use the soft 99 products on the work van as it lasts, I can neglect it for weeks but a quick wash and the protection is still there..

Im open to suggestions but thinking "Darstardly Specky", "Specky from the Bad Lands" or how about "The McSporran Chronicles"??? Comments welcome 🤣🤣🤣. On a serious note, James below asks the question "is wax now relevant" & you have to question it. I love putting wax on a car and buffing it off but with all the new products hitting the market is the guy in the street who has no interest in detailing just wants to clean the car and do other things going to bother with wax? Hello Christopher, I have some Bilt Hamber products within my videos but haven't done a video specifically on the range although Atom Mac is in most of them. A couple of reasons, Im not a fan of the whole range but do like some of their products. There are so many videos on the range and my thought process was that I wouldn't be bringing anything different. Im not a dedicated review channel more of a blog on what Im up to therefore most of the products on the channel are out of my own pocket so don't want to spend money on products that are well covered and championed by others. However other than Atom Mac I wouldn't include any other Bilt Hamber product in my top 10. Its only my opinion and clearly others love the brand. I think the most important thing is that if you find a product that works for you then go with it.🤷‍♂ Thanks for supporting, you are always welcome in my workshop👍

I like soft 99 products - I always find it weird - here, wash your car with this sponge.... detailers and warriors recoil... apply this polish/wax with this sponge... ok then....... Where did you get the gray handled soft brushes from - next to the long handled vikan brushes?
@ObsessiveCarDetailer
@ObsessiveCarDetailer 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris the brushes are Detail Factory Ultra Soft brushes. I bought them from County Detailing but I guess you can get them elsewhere as well. As for the sponge, good point. I guess the difference is when washing you could have contaminants under the sponge but when adding a product then you would hope all contamination should have been removed

I think I'm going to have to get some Kawami, and Fusso Coat for the winter period. I've heard so many good things about them both. It's amzing how similar nasty stone-chips on the bonnet look like pressure washer nozzle strikes. I know too well from a single bad experience many years ago. When the white nozzle flew off and hit the bonnet it sounded like a shotgun going off. The mark it left looks exactly like that one, and in the same place!

Hi , Ive seen that sort of thing happen on a couple of videos but this is defiantly a stone chip. I keep saying she should get it repaired but the car is just a means of getting from A to B 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi what's the best wheel cleaner been using wonder wheels it rubbish nearly use half a bottle on the wheels lol
@ObsessiveCarDetailer
@ObsessiveCarDetailer 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, big question & it depends on how dirty the wheels are and how often they have been cleaned. So if they are really contaminated with iron & brake dust then you are going to need a strong product and may need to repeat the process. In that case you can choose from a number of products. Currently on my shelf I have Bilt Hamber Auto wheel & Autobrite Hell Shine but there are lots more and everyone seems to have their favourite. I suggest you start with Bilt Hamber and see how you like it. All BH products seem to be good and reasonably priced. If the wheels have been kept in reasonable condition but still dirty then check out some of my videos where I use P&S Brake Buster. I use it through a foamer & directly from the bottle depending on how dirty the wheels are. If you have Garage Therapy Zero recon on your shelf then that is also a really good product for cleaning wheels. For regular wash maintenance then my go to product is Garage Therapy One Wheel shampoo. The other wheel shampoo I quite like is HDD Brake Through. I hope that is of some help but please let me know how you get on and what you sendup using 👍

Hi Martin,being GT’s number one fanboy(self proclaimed),I think they are right about the intro!🤣🤣🤣.As impressive as the results are,I am shying away from these type of waxes,as they are time consuming and laborious to me now(especially on my suv).The Garage Therapy line up,for me provide excellent results with less effort.I have five different brands of paste waxes and they all perform very well,but I cannot see them being used by myself in the future.
