In this Tainted Love guitar lesson video, I will show you an easy yet fun way to play this massive 80's hit by Soft Cell on the guitar.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
There are just two chord progressions you will need to learn for this one. If you can play basic major and minor barre chords, you will have no problem whatsoever playing this arrangement.
For the main riff, I have added some octaves to more closely match the keyboard melody.
I hope you guys enjoy learning this one. Even though it wasn't originally recorded on the guitar, I think once you start playing the opening riff of this arrangement, everyone will recognize it immediately. 🙂

Why do you use the pinky for the octaves? I found if you use the ring finger it leaves the pinky available to reach the next octave up. It doesn't matter for this song, but I always mute the middle string with my pointer, even if for some reason I am using my pinky...thus having another finger available for whatever. I think alot of people use their pinky for octaves and power chords because that is the finger you use for barred chords. Reguardless, nice tone. Actually sounds better than the original. lolz. This is me and my wife's song.
