Our congress has no idea how we Americans are feeling, we individuals are fed up with this treasonous administration. I feel pity for our country. A lot of people are suffering to survive! I appreciate Ornstein Lindsey! Imagine investing $2000 and receiving $10,500 in 5 days

well explained! Recessions are an unavoidable part of the economic cycle; all you can do is prepare for them and plan accordingly. I graduated into a slump (2010). My first job after graduating from college was as an aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today, I work as a VP for a global corporation, own three rental properties, invest in crypt0, run my own company, and have increased my net worth over $900k in the last two years.

There is little known guy that trains horses out in Kentucky I think . A travel you tube guy did several episodes on him; he has an Amish background and only needs a few " store bought" things. He lives off the land just fine. Very kind gentle spiritual young man wise beyond his years. He was inspirational to me. I bought a little cottage in the country surrounded by farm land and a bay full of seafood just down the road.

I keep telling people to update your skills if you are in tech. My recommendation is to read read read so you have a broad spectrum knowledge when you interview. Then study deep the tech you like to work on. Do you say the word passionate on your resume? When you talk about in the interview does it show. So many people come to interviews unprepared, monotone delivery, with old skills. The tech boom driven by cheap money and social media deep pockets is over. How much more content, social media, KZbin do we need?

I read a lot online from people who complain their kids or grandkids never call, never write. My grandparents wrote me a lot...covered the waterfront as they used to say. I loved getting their letters and occasional treats in the envelope. I call my children and grandchildren...they are busy and just forget. Stop complaining unless you call and write THEM. I don't expect them to dance attendance on me. My husbands Dad used to send cash in the mail because his Mom controlled the money and was cheap....good at concert tickets, but not money. One phrase I hate is "Do it for love, not for money." used for mowing the lawn or pet care or washing the car. I always give a treat or money when my grandchildren do anything for me...I don't see money and love as separate things...too many Jane Austen books!!! Tough as nails, that girl. So write your family, send a pretty tea bag or a little gift card...keep doing it. I'm 77 and tired of the self pity of old folks who SEEM TO BE NOT EVEN TRYING.

As a recruiter, I once had a candidate correlate the working career. The freshman year is like your first 10 years of your career, when you're adapting to the system and learning a little. The second 10 years is like your sophomore year when you just start to get into the beginning of core classes and you figure out if your adapting and learning something. The next 10 years are like your junior year. It's all heavily focused on your major and really applying what you've learned. The last 10 years is like your senior year. All you want is OUT!!

I was watching one of those live police arrest shows in Nye County Nevada. The police went to the home because a neighbor saw squatters hop the fence. The police told the squatters that the police can look up the property owner on their computer and call to confirm whether the rental contract is legitimate or fake. The squatter had a rental agreement with the owners name on it, and the owner did not answer the phone. The police told the squatter that when we get ahold of the owner and if this is a fake document, we will be back here tomorrow to arrest you. the police return the next day and arrested the squatters. It is an aggravated misdemeanor to break into a house and you will be arrested in Nevada. This is why I don’t see squatters here in Las Vegas.

Also got a Beef and Cheddar for the wife( just a sandwich). Over $17 dollars!! Plus I had to park and go back inside for a sauce they didn't put in the bag. Go home and find they didn't put the French Dip sauce in either! So drive back to get that! Time, fuel and money! (my truck gets about 12 miles to the gallon.) One fairly expensive meal. I live in Texas. Last year, after picking up children from school parents would take their children to the Dairy Queen drive though, the line was around the building and out into the side road. Currently, we see one or two in the same after school drive through, zero vehicles with children. We also see more teens working after school jobs in grocery and other stores. These teens are livid about paying taxes, and they talk about tax rip offs non-stop as if that'll fix it.😮

Hey Dan, thanks for today. Well, it's not just the economy....we had a managerial level employee, do meth for 4 days, bought a machete, and slashed ,everything as he walked through the building. A high speed chase and an accident and now 6 felonies later, he's in rehab. We are out............I can't even say how much....we will recover, but the loss is huge, as we now have no prospects for the position. We have had 4 employees die from meth and 1 from alcohol. That business may have to close.....

I saw this happening when I entered the work force back in 1978. I didn't want to be another employee getting fazed out of the work force. So I started my investment journey and started to be debt free. So 10 years ago I fully retired financially free at 59 even though I was still relevant in my position. I retired on my terms and not my company.

Rate cuts commence in June 2024, taking 6-8 months to complete. A potential crash, if any, might occur by March 2025. The soft landing narrative is gaining traction, making this big recession everyone is calling for less likely. With $1 million from a business sale, I'm seeking profitable investment opportunities for the next 3 years.

The financial market is a reliable choice. Diversify your portfolio with I-bonds, stocks (ETFs, REITs, dividend-paying stocks), and bitcoin. Given your budget, I recommend hiring a fiduciary to ensure you receive professional insights for a fee.

If you are in cross roads or need sincere advice on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets. It's better to hire a skilled financial planner especially if you're not one yourself. I hired one after my retirement pension took a hit in April due to the crash.
