Have seen John play HP many times over recent years and this is definitely one of his best solos, in many ways this is more Holdsworth adjacent than I have ever heard him, great stuff🎸🤘🏻

I think you are right, but I listened to this clip twice - but Fred hits several downbeats later than Asaf, who isn’t particularly swinging, but he’s not late, I don’t think. I’ll listen to more of them to see if I see similar phenomena
