The Helix soft mounts the FC like that too. Only thing I found with it is lots of heat from soldering combined with isopropyl from cleaning the flux can affect the adhesive.

I used to mount my naze32 on my qav250 like that. The PDB and ESCs were on the bottom plate, and I would just double side sticky foam the fc to the frame. That thing flew super awesome for 2015.

Another reinvention. Four years ago everybody gave him to try softmount in multiwii, ear plugs, hobbyking foams like that, the famous moongel, etc. etc.

Can you find out what that pad is your friend got for you and how did he stick it with glue or is it self adeasive pad .

How do you remove the PDB? Can you heat the adhesive to remove it? Also, what screws are in the bottom of the PDB to fix the stand offs but do not protrude enough to prevent it from sticking?

It helps keep the vibration down because the combined mass of the pdb and fc is more than only the fc, and "all that mass" separated by foam from the frame... well, a lot more interesting than the softmounted motor hype!
