Love Langauge: Words of endearment. I grew up lacking words of affection/appreciation. My boyfriend for example tells me how much he appreciates the things I do, no matter how little it was. I have anxiety and sad episodes but he always says the best thing, such as how proud he of how far I've come with my mentality.

I definitely love being told how my boyfriend feels about me, he tells me on a daily but he also shows me as well which I love! There’s never a day where we don’t laugh and he’s the only one that can make me absolutely howl and can’t breathe because of it. He’s also the reason I’m so excited to be starting a family with him this year! Our little boy who’s not even in the world yet, is so so lucky and so loved already!💗

One thing that I think is so important to know when it comes to relationships and something my mum taught me was “if it’s meant to be it should be easy”. This doesn’t mean relationships are easy and yes they take work, but I spent so long in relationships that weren’t right for me fighting so hard just to keep it together and now that I’m with the right person I completely understand what she meant by that. It’s my parents 40th wedding anniversary today. I honestly think they are the only example I have of a lasting love. I’m sure it’s possible, but with online dating everyone is replaceable. If it doesn’t work out with you, they can just swipe and find someone else. I agree, laughter is important. Growing up Mormon put this ideal image of love/marriage and it’s not real nor is it realistic. Cheers to those celebrating V Day alone ♥️

In regards to your video about relationships and what we look for in a man. For me, before I got together with my husband one major trait was loyalty, trust worthy, someone who wanted a future (such as kids & to be married), cause that’d be a deal breaker for me, family oriented cause I’m close with my family. I always had kinda high standards even as a young girl or at least my friends told me that I did and I needed to be realistic and lower your standards but I never did. My dad used to always tell me you be able to do anything for yourself and when you meet a man he just makes you happy but that I didn’t NEED a man to be happy. And also he would say never settle for anything less than what I deserve. So when I started dating guys, I never settled when one wouldn’t want what I want it if it didn’t work out. Luckily I met my husband and I knew him from high school already and as a bonus he was my brothers best friend and the rest is history lol never settle ladies and gentlemen!!
