Thx so much! I guess I forgot that your favorite jewelry items are rings??? 🤪. Is it Big rings you like? I’ll definitely be experimenting with more ideas so let me know if you have a favorite stone…big or small too & I’ll check my stash! And Yes thanks I am feeling lots better about Mom…part of it is the Let Down effect of the Holidays combined with losing Mom right after! The house feels a little more empty 😢 but she actually showed up in a BIG way yesterday as a huge yellow 🦋 😊 Oh AND Thank You so so much for your 3 cups of coffees…that really warmed my heart & I’m sending you 3 big Hugs! Hope you & the gang are doing well! We’ll catch up soon on IM! 🙏😘💖

@@karensintuitivejewelry woman, I LOVE big rings…I have big hands…I’m 5’9” so nothing on me is petite…I love all jewelry really big rings are my favorite!!! Gosh my favorite stone has become very difficult thanks to a certain lady who has shown me so many new ones and my “going down the proverbial rabbit hole” searches on Etsy🤪🤪🤪. Of course I love my birthstone which is an Emerald but they are expensive…I love Garnets!!!…Rose Quartz, Aquamarine, any orange stone, Peridot, Quartz, Citrine, Topaz of any Color, Amethyst of any color-I love the pink and green ones… ah heck, I like them all…the more sparkly the better-those rose cut stones you showed us are amazing - I didn’t even know they came that way… I am a true believer in signs so I’m glad that your Mom showed up as the beautiful butterfly🧡🧡🧡 I’m so glad you got your cups of coffee!!! You deserve it!!! I had the darndest time for it to work-I had tried on several times before and it wouldn’t go to the payment page but it finally worked…🥴 We’ll talk on IM later gf!!! Love & big hugs!!!

@@jennifermelvin8038 kool kool kool…I’m gonna make a BIG ring soon with you in mind! What size range do you wear? You have expensive taste in stones for sure…I can’t afford most of those 🤣🤣🤣 but I’ll find something nice! I hate when I can’t figure things out! 🤬🤬🤬 You can probably imagine how long it takes me to figure each new thing out! 😂😂😂 it took me hours to figure out how to activate the little 💚 with the $ symbol on YT but thank goodness it activated that feature on ALL videos so I don’t have to do that again! Whew! Thx again for the coffee! Yum 😋 🙏💖

Great ring, Karen! Loved your use of tape and the mandrel. Also have never seen the slicing technique for texturing; I'm going to have to give it a try. I saw someone scrubbing the soldered piece clean with baking soda and Dawn dish soap to thoroughly remove/ neutralize the acid of the flux to get a better patina, copper or black patina,...so maybe worth a try. I think it worked great on your ring!🤩 So pretty!

Thx my friend! I’m happy with how it turned out & I’ll be playing with more soon! 😁 Yes the Dawn & BS is a popular cleaning solution mostly used with the paste flux because Dawn is a great degreaser & different types of flux need a BS wash to inhibit & stop the acid process BUT because the liquid flux is water soluble it doesn’t need all that even tho I usually wash my pieces with a tiny bit of Dawn & water! The instructions actually say to use just water to clean up but I do use the Dawn! 😂 This time the copper patina worked really well! Not a lot of people have great results with it & this is why you don’t see that many copper pieces! Thanks again! I appreciate you! 🙏😊💜

@@karensintuitivejewelry Yes, I have seen the varying results people have with it. I may get some eventually just to try it out. I think your solution of using the black paint pen looked really good too.

Hey there Karen - beautiful ring and just in the time, as I have just taped my first ring - I have some otheres taped up too - I haven't kicked on the iron yet, baby steps lol. Question - I have seen a lot of people in the wire wrapping scene seal their items with "Protect-a-Clear" or jeweler's wax? Do you do anything to provide protection to the patina as well as a barrier to the wearer? I have a couple people that I follow that have a $1.99/mo subscription, which isn't much for your side - but I see a lot of people with the "Thanks Heart" with a dollar sign. I like those best because I can put anywhere for $1.00 - who knows how much at every tutorial - not just one. I tend to like those options - rather than the memberships - because some people do like a low membership and give you "badges" for your comments, and quite personally I really am not all that impressed to have a special "badge" next to my name - lol - but I do try to buy coffee more than I do not - I can only imagine what a pain that doing these things but I think that "Thanks $ Heart" is great cause I can put like $1.00 on every tutorial and not go broke myself, whereas buying a coffee everyone can be costly for me as I'm on a limited income too. - BUT - believe me I appreciate your work - I was afraid of using a soldering iron -(even though I used to make lampwork beads with a big oxy/propane torch long ago - lol) Thanks again for sharing your work - you have made me not terrified of the iron.

Hi! Thanks for your interest in my channel! Yes, I will use ProtectaClear and/or Renaissance Wax depending on the details on the piece. Keep in mind that all protectants/sealants will wear off over time, rings & bracelets more quickly because of the excessive wear & tear they receive. I'm currently wearing this ring for a "test period" before I seal it just to make sure it's worth it LOL because those particular products are the most expensive of all the formulas! Thanks so much for the information & tips on the lower subscription. I'll be researching all that this week! From a quick search it appears that it's part of the YT program so that's right what I'm working on today & probbably the rest of my life hahahaha! I, 100%, want to keep it affordable & it's DEFINITELY my favorite part of this whole YT experience but it seems the way of the world if you want to build your channel! I am also not a fan of the badges & emoji's but I guess some people are, I really wasn't planning on offering such things but we'll see what's required. YT has a lot of features in their monetization platform that I do not like & plus they take the highest percentage on everything a creator offers (memberships, merchandise, etc) PLUS they actually OWN my members emails, info, etc which is why I decided to try the Buy Me A Coffee platform because they do NOT take ownership of my members & they charge the least percentages so I'm still figuring all this stuff out! Aagghh What I believe I'll be doing is offering a choice for my members & they can make their own decisions about what & how to support my channel. You are 100% correct that this process is a LOT & I'd much rather just create LOL If you can share with me some (or 1) of the other channels that might help me research more! I do appreciate your information Thank You for your kind words of support, it makes me so happy to hear that my tutorials actually have value! I'm surprised you were afraid of the soldering iron with previous torch experience! WOW! I was also terrified to begin with the soldering iron, hence why I only started in my late 60's!!!! I was incredibly scared & apprehensive to start with a butane torch & now I'm trying my hand at the Big Boy torch which is a whole other level so wish me luck! It is highly intimidating! LOL You've got this! I'd love to see your work unfold if you'd like to share it with me on IM. Thanks again for everything!
