Lovely video, beautiful voice, reminds me of when I was a kid and I’d sit on the ground next to my Grandma’s chair, I’d lean my head against her knee and she’d run her fingers through my hair and tell me stories about antiques in the house or stories about her Grandma, my great great grandma. Never felt safer or more at ease.

The bit about your mom’s cream you bought to remember the smell- whew it made me tear up. That is such a precious bit of information and I thank you for sharing it with us. I have my grandma’s jewelry box and I hope the smell of the inside stays trapped in there forever. It’s probably just an old dusty smell but I remember it from my childhood so I treasure it. Anytime I open that jewelry box up I’m reminded of her and then I close it up quick to maintain it all! lol It’s incredible the smells we attach to memories. Thank you for sharing some of your precious memories with us, I was delighted to learn some things about you.

I love how you mention Maria’s brush and we immediately just *know* I was choking up so much at the necklace part. My mom passed 5 years ago very young and never got to meet my second born. I get so sentimental about these things. It’s such a beautiful necklace. I loved hearing more about you ❤❤❤

Such a fantastic video, Sherri. I really enjoyed your interesting answers and as always, your soft spoken voice is so relaxing and lovely. Beautiful dress, too ❤ My book to read over and over again would be What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt, and The Gate at the Stairs by Lorrie Moore. Both with the most heartbreaking moments, but so beautifully written. I gasped and had to put both down during the big events. Trigger warnings for both however, there is certainly upsetting content in both 😢 However, the writing ... ❤

Hello Sherri, from Ludlow in Shropshire UK. Ludlow is a beautiful market town, close to the Welsh border. We have many medieval buildings, both private houses and shops/ hotels, still standing and in full use. Plus a famous castle dating back to 11th century. We have an annual music festival in the grounds with the castle ruins as the backdrop. Last summer Rag n' Bone Man and Nile Rogers with Chic headlined. It was amazing! Anyway, hope you are recovered from your horrible fall Sherri. Just to say thank you for being the ONLY person to relax both my mind and 73 old body into a lovely sleep every night! So glad I found you. I would love to know what breed your sweet little Ziggy Button is? I ran a business working with dogs until I was 70 and still volunteer with our local dog walking lady, every week. Closest guess about Ziggy's breed would be Tibetan Terier mix ? Do let us know. I know exactly what you mean by wanting to have a specific recording... As I was listening, I kept thinking what I might take, and realised I had similar childhood experiences with a recording of Dvořák's Ninth... and with the Dire Straits album Money for Nothing, and the specific recordings of their songs on it. So I would probably also cheat, and also take two albums, and they would also be one by a rock band and one symphony. 😅 (And oddly enough also a Ninth.)
