The fact that nfl retro football never came out and most of its info is lost right now is a massive tragedy. Apparently Shigeru Miyamoto was somehow disappointed in the game as well as most of what they were working on, which led them to develop metroid prime

We know that had to be in development even before EA picked up the license for good, would like to hear about the story of what was going to be featured in NFL 2K6 and how they were going to build off NFL 2K5.

The NFL exclusive for the Gamecube sounds like it would've been a blast to play and the same goes for the baseball game with all those creative stadiums. I also remember the Arena Football game that was planned for the Atari Jaguar, but considering the Jaguar's controller has 15 buttons it was probably for the best that the game never got released.

If you ever need a video idea, you could always do the third competitor that nobody talks about in the short lived Madden vs 2k era is 989 sports and their NFL Game day series. Gameplay. I remember in the game they'd had players trash talk and actually swear while you could cheap shot players after the play.

Yoooo that Bobcats team. My first NBA game was Pistons vs Bobcats here in Charlotte during the 2010 season (only year they made the playoffs as the Bobcats before the Hornets rebrand). Took that team to the NBA Finals in 2K11.

One of the few examples of a game canceled after an actual release is a sports video game! Ashes Cricket 2013 was so bad that they stopped selling it two days after release, and offered refunds to anyone who bought it. I still have it in my steam library, like to think that it’s one of the rarer titles in my collection.
