The passive radiator might be acting somewhat like a physical band-pass crossover, where the band is probably a small bump around the 100 hz region and making a slightly steeper roll-off for crossing over to the BAs. MIGHT.

Studio 4 & Volume S difference for Vocals?
@nok46017 сағат бұрын
Whats the difference between harman and the new meta ? I find hard to tell by just looking at the graphs.

From this video I realized the og of an iem sometimes is hard to beat. Volume og is still owned its value. This volume s is facing a strong competitor like tea pro and hype 4 🙈

@marumaru5480Күн бұрын
I have a question, high impendance is the one that requires more power and thus you need to crank up the volume, compared to the low impendance mode. Am I right?
@Vj3tZ3RGКүн бұрын
Seems like that for me.
@jasonmelo1974Күн бұрын
The sole purpose for passive radiators is to make subwoofers and speakers smaller. They do the same thing as a port does but in a smaller box.

Is the current meta a warm sound?
@KofiBaffour-t8oКүн бұрын
Not warm, just right sounding. People aren't used to that and think that is dull. We can put plenty people in a semi reflective room with the best speakers and our preference will follow the Meta Tilt generally with individual differences more apparent in the treble region. The midrange is Less variable.

@@KofiBaffour-t8o crinacle said warm 2:45
@KofiBaffour-t8oКүн бұрын
@Violet-ui and crinacle leans brighter than neutral normally cos he listens at very low volumes so something much closer to the median neutral will sound warm to him when it isn't anything... It just is neutral which can be bright sounding with certain music that is mixed bright and balanced with other music that is mixed to have a more balanced spectrum
@Violet-uiКүн бұрын
@@KofiBaffour-t8o isn't it the other way around? IEMs sound less warm when you listen at lower volume at least that's for me the case
@KofiBaffour-t8oКүн бұрын
@Violet-ui no the IEM having more upper register energy means you have to play them at a lower volume to avoid the sharpness but because the upper frequencies are already very present, you still get the "detail."

So after literally speed running this IEM thing I've found that people are literally just throwing away their money. The gain you get after $400 ish is minimal and for most people they can't even tell whats good and whats bad. Those that say they can hear the difference in their cables are BS and literally full of shit. I've wasted about 12k in the past 6 months on IEMs and can say I could have done just as good for about 1200 total 3 - 4 sets each for different purposes.
@sdm789Күн бұрын
So true....in a blind test people would have no clue which IEM cost $200-$400 and which one cost $1,000 or more. Same with cables. This is one of the goofiest hobbies around. 🤪
@JosephFlemmingКүн бұрын
@@sdm789 I mostly stay budget, but the "mid-fi" IEMs I've bought definitely are a step-up from the cheaper sets. Cables DO sound different, although It's not a huge impact most times. and I don't EVER get super expensive cables.
@Nonx47Күн бұрын
@@JosephFlemming Other than how resistant the cables are, there is no difference. Think about it... This thick cable that has silver and all that... It sends audio to the connector on the IEM, and from there? That connector has a crazy thin wire that goes to the speakers inside the IEM... There's no way all that cable makes any difference since the tiny ass super thin wire that actually goes to the drivers are between that cable and the drivers. It's all placebo. Just say you like the way the cables looks and feels, because other than that you're either trying to fool others or have been fooled.
@DarkEnigma1115Күн бұрын
@@Nonx47 To be fair, shielded vs non-shielded/thinly shielded cables on desks with tons of electronics cluttering would make a lot of difference. That, in my view, is why a lot of people get placebo'd into expensive cables: "Wow, what a difference!" which they would also get if they uncluttered their desks. Other than that, I recommend gold plated/silver plated cables if you use your gear outdoors a lot (corrosion resistance).

What's the go to Meta-Tuning IEM with small nozzles?
@SqueakyScavКүн бұрын
Probably this actually, 5.4mm wide nozzle, but unfortunately quite long. Otherwise the only option right now (unless I've completely missed one) is a Mega5EST C-IEM.
