New digital infrastructure is software defined, across many layers from multiple vendors, from central data centers and public cloud right to the cabinet or customer premises. Wrangling software complexity is a primary challenge for communications companies globally. Mark Shuttleworth, founder and CEO of Canonical, shares his insights on how to best tackle this challenge, through a comprehensive exploration of:
- Public clouds, private clouds and micro clouds
- Layers of software-defined infrastructure
- Application management and integration in a multi-vendor, multi-cloud world
- The new wave of IoT applications

Can I do the making demands thing here? How about Ubuntu coding a bunch of Ubuntu games that use the full potential of the "humble" raspberrypizero2w _(1GHz quadcore, 512MB RAM some of which is on the GPU, say 64MB)_ so that you have to use the OpenID from UbuntuOne _(ignoring the cloud servces having shut-down)_ for multiplayer so that people notice the OpenID again? I reckon the graphics _(OpenGl2, which btw is basically akin to doom3 on the original PC-CDROM)_ could look like a Wii but with better textures and polygons like say Xenoblade-Chronicles on the 3DS or Wii or super-mario-sunshine quality graphics _(or X3-Reunion, or Thief3,or RailroadTycoon3, or NeverWinterNights2)._ Then deploy load of handheld (basically retropi-shaped) pizero2w "gameboys" _(with a chatpad, analogue sticks and C-batteries and a webcam that works via the protection-rings if needed in a tiny VM)_ around various parts of Africa (or let's say South Africa). The logic is basically how Starwars (via Lucas-arts) did not pay attention to the importance of the games-and-toys for royalties and then later saw it earned a big profit. It is basically the same as how the commodore amiga wanted to be all "serious" and business computers only even though blatantly everybody who bought one was playing video-games on it and wanted them to release an amiga with more RAM and an FPU on it. You are Starwars and Commodore in this timeline btw, in case you haven't guessed. I'm totally helping you and others. Let's say 12 or so games (good ones, not just "bowling" or whatever) for the ubuntu OpenID pizero2w. They'd be paid for games but the lucky pizero2w "winners" _(in the gaming education "guest" camps)_ get them preloaded for nothing and their OpenID reloads them via internet/WiFi if they corrupt their SD-card. BTW, Pi need to make the pizero2W boot from USB, IMO. Eventually, you could buy a bus ticket with an OpenID via ubuntu-one. Then the dude who runs a Gas-Station linked to a petrol-pump uses OpenID UbuntuOne on his staff's cashier-tills and you get loyalty-points when you buy a tin of food. So even the gamers will use your Giga-Chad server CPU power via their tiny pizero2W eventually. Make it so one can login for pidgin IM with OpenID via Ubuntu One so people can attend chatrooms and they either get adverts on the page or they buy a premium account to have no adverts _(or to choose adverts instead and maybe sell adverts, or make superchat-style donations to sponser a new coder or an upcoming service)._ My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love.

Mnah broh it's about market demand. What the Buyers want to buy. Not what is good for .... all those the things. If you can package the same in a product+service do that and the tech will happen.

@@ChuckNorris-lf6vo The part for gaming is somewhat there with plop_linux so people can use that and so this infomation is to help them and their positive optimistic attitude to such developments. My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.
