(typos), Wow. Your teaching helped clarify a lot for me. Last week while oncall I went to a big box store DC and they were very upset because their new SD wan roll (via my employer) out crashed. My support was clueless after hours on a holiday they should’ve paged the lead engineers but didnt. Turns out it was an SFP that went bad from Comcast circuit, brought the whole shebang down but now I realize amidst all their gear was only a controller which means they’re SD should have still been running but they would not have been able to push out any updates if I’m thinking clearly. I kept my mouth shut because the customer was upset and I really didn’t know and I had no support. We waited for comcast 4 hours to arrive with a new SFP (authorized for Junos). I had to keep my mouth shut and/ or make small talk for all that time. Sometimes less talking is better.
