It is based on the condition if you have 3 condition then it is 2^3=8 columns. He vomited FFF & TTT coz these are not applicable for the scenario. Hope you got it!

I think the no of rules were based on the no of condition In this there are 3 conditions so no of rules will be 3! = 6 to cover all the possible scenarios
