Oh wow thank you. This let me set that joystick to mouse, and then ADD middle mouse click on short click!! Amazing, and still lets me mode switch on long press to POV.

Is there any way to apply an offset to the center point of the mini stick? Like so the center is value zero and pulling down is the max value (and pushing above center would just stay at value 0). I'd like to use the mini stick for wheel brakes, so this would be helpful.

In Profile/Axes/Logical Axes uncheck the Cn (centering) box (es) for the axis/axes you want. In Profile/Axes/Physical Axes uncheck the ACn (auto centering) box. Press Set to save.

@@VKBSim Awesome, that worked! One more question if you don't mind: With those settings, the center point is 0, but the max point is when the the stick is moved up. How do I make it so that's reversed and the max is when the stick is moved down? I tried messing with the R and Direction checkboxes, but it didn't seem to do anything.

I utilize the VKB OmniThrottle positioned on the left-hand side. This led to an inclination in the left stick's orientation, thereby causing a misalignment in the ministick's positioning. As a result, when I apply upward pressure on the ministick, the game interprets this action as 315 degrees rather than 0 degrees. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to reconfigure the ministick, converting its 315-degree input to 0 degrees.

Is it possible to adjust the 8 view function what what point of the axis it triggers the position? I mean when i put it in 8 view mode i have to move the hat almost to the max position until it registers as a 8 view position.. seems like its at 80 or 90% of the travel.. could it be set at a lower travel so it would work as a 8 view with less hat movement?

It's mechanical, this is the way the ministick works in POV mode and unfortunately can't be adjusted through software.

Mine isn't switching to analog mode. But it recognizes the click in the central position.

Are you sure you have the Premium version? The Standard version doesn't come with a ministick.

One thing I'm wanting to figure out is if I can use the mini stick button press as a "shift toggle". As in press & release once = engage shift, press & release again to disengage shift. I've got a few cases in games where I want to mode shift the stick (or even both sticks, hosas) and stay in that mode long enough that keeping shift pressed is a problem. Combined with tempoB so I can long press to switch between mini stick modes. I'm not versed with shift and button programming and my brain breaks when going through the manual to figure out button programming.

The Shift function on the ministick will become public when the next firmware version will be released. Until then, all buttons on any grip could be programmed as Shift, either momentary (Shift active while the button is pressed and held) or alternate (Shift active on button press and deactivated on the next press). So I just got these, one being the Omni but same stick obviously. For the right ministick I’d like to be able to look around the cockpit and for the left ministick I’d like to use it for velocity/accelerator limiter with the click being cruise control. What are the settings I should use for that? The video helps understand some of that but not exactly sure. Thank you for any help

No need to reprogram the ministick for these functions, just map the left one to cruise control and the right one to view; see for both which mode works better for your need, analog or digital.

How to make double pov without axes being registered? I successfully followed the video, but the game still registers input as an axes instead of pov.

Unfortunately you can't completely get rid of the axes, even if you program a second POV the axes would still run in the background. You could use the Shift feature though on the POV to double the controls.

i have had a vkb gladiator k scg premium for a few years and absolutely love your work. but i really dislike how when you push the pov stick fully on an axis it reverts to the opposite direction of the axis... how do i set it so it doesn't do this?

nvm. all these years and turns out i just never had calibrated the pov stick correctly (by having it in axis mode)

You'll love it even more when I'll tell you that's not normal behavior :) When it acts like that it means it's not calibrated. In order to get properly calibrated please follow the steps from this link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGrpmacYq6El6s (different base, so you'll have to include the minithrottle in the calibration). Make sure you press on the center button of the ministick during calibration - when the red round LED lights up on the head of the grip you could calibrate the ministick.

Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question about relative axis. I am using the TempoB mode to use relative axis as aircraft trim while also having the mode switch to POV. I lowered the relative axis response curve heavily so I could have slower more precise movement. The problem is the lowered response curve is below the 20% POV Dz minimum and prevents the POV from working. I can set the response curve to just above 20% so it works but the relative axis sensitivity is a bit too high for my liking. Is there another way to have extremely low relative axis sensitivity while still maintaining the POV mode function?

Nothing other than the multiplier (RMpl) in Profile/Axes/Logical Axes (1 is the lowest speed).

​@@VKBSim The software seems to have all the functionnalities, but you shouldn't have to make a video to know how to use it if it makes sense. It's not very intuitive. For example, you have tabs inside tabs inside tabs at some point, so you're not sure where you are. Another thing, the "Action/Tool/Settings" menu should be in a "Top bar" like most programs are arranged. It should also take less place IMO. Also some thing could be named better and you should have tool tips for things like the ministicks buttons mode (tempo, button, buttonAlt, etc.). I'm no expert though, these are just random critics. So what I am trying to say with my message, is that you should consult with a professionnal about design and user experience. I believe it will make VKB's and its clients lives easier in the long run. Thanks for spending the time to read this.
