Hey everyone, I’m the person in the video. Hello hello (: I want to thank Mark for giving me the opportunity to really tell part of my childhood, a life I tried so very hard to extinguish. All my life, I wanted to be believed and I wanted to grow into someone that not only would be on the track to heal, but would help my son live a life that would never be close to how I experienced mine. When you grow up with parents who are unhealed and damaging to everyone around, you understand (or try to understand) how they would ever hurt you or the people you love. Life has gotten easier and I’m finally in my dream career of being a tattoo artist. Im finally in a place where I can feel my wings open and all my wounds are healed. I may be scarred, but everytime I look at my little boy, I smile and and internally feel myself hold back a cry he wouldn’t understand right now..knowing one day he will watch this video and ask questions. He will watch this and understand why I tried so hard to be better than anything I could’ve ever been offered as a child. Scottie, when you’re old enough and you read and watch this… I want you to know that I love you so very much. You are the greatest thing to ever exist in this world and I hope you get to do whatever you want to do in your life (even if its being in a shark cage to finally meet a great white shark lol). You, my sweet bebae, are the reason I’ve taken every single generational curse that has been given to me and I’ve never been so thankful to be able to dismantle and rebuild something greater than us. You are the best thing, that’s ever been mine. Thank you, Mark. Thank you SWU. Take care and I love you all.

You're wonderful and you should be very proud of yourself. I believe it would help your sister to microdose as well, if not macrodose. Shrooms are so beneficial for that. Maybe someday she'll be able to come to terms with what she went through and you both can build the relationship that was stolen from you by the trauma your father caused. Never stop being who you are, you're so incredibly strong and beautiful. ❤️

I am so happy to have met her and hearing this makes me realize how truly resilient she is to have gone through dark shit but break the cycle and come out a beautiful person. That takes an insane amount of emotional intelligence that most people can’t begin to comprehend. I love you so much and you’re awesome for sharing your story to help heal yourself and help others . ❤️❤️

This woman is a WARRIOR. The strength she possesses is something we should all yearn for. I myself felt every bit of this. She was so articulate in the way she describes her life and her struggles, her traumas. She really paints a vivid picture of her life in a way where even if you don’t have the same trauma or pain… you can feel it. I myself have even learned a thing or two about myself - things I can takeaway from this story and apply to my own life.

Rachael, you need to report your dad to the authorities in Virginia. He's most probably also sexually abusing his young daughter (your kid sister). Much love and respect to you for sharing your story. Don't hate your sister, love your sister even though she cannot express it to you. Have enough love in your body to forgive her. Forgiveness is the path to healing.💝

I don’t know if I have seen a more sincere, honest and raw interview. Racheal, I absolutely BELIEVE. EVERY. WORD you said. As someone who was also abused as a child by multiple people I see a fellow survivor in you. You are DOING the work, the really hard work. I hope you will release any feelings of responsibility for anything THAT PERSON did to you or others. HE CHOSE TO BE A MONSTER. I hope you and your sister can find a way to forgiveness because otherwise HE continues to have power over you both. Keep your head up doll because you are going places in this life…..great places. And HE can go straight to hell and take all of his victims pain with him, that’s the very least he deserves.

Some of us are born into a war zone and are under attack from the start. Often with as many scars as soldiers come home from in a real war. No child should ever have to place their parents on the scales and weigh their actions, it’s a paradox of conflict and confusion. How can we hate those who we love at the same time. Take care girl I admire your courage and intelligence.

She is probably autistic too. It’s like a 90% chance that children get autism from being in the womb of an autistic parent. I’m autistic and I just found out at 30 because my son was diagnosed last year. He is 8 and also very smart. By being autistic we do deal with ainxiety/depression but are able to look at life and situations in a more black and white type way. And we do often offend people for not giving the same type of empathy that neurotypical people crave and experience. At the same time we are some of the most emotional and caring people. It’s just shown in a different way.

Rachel, you're a strong woman! Working on your healing is evident and though it's a lifelong process, you're self aware, you're doing the work, amd you're breaking the cycle! Please don't claim responsibility or guilt for any of the things your father did. Guilt has been one of my hardest parts of healing because I, too, want to be the healer and take it all away for everyone else. I want to go back in time and prevent it from happening to others.. but we can't. ❤ We can only heal ourselves and be responsible for our choices. Your doing amazing and I hope you are so proud of yourself for the woman you are!!

Wow. Rachael was brilliant. She was fiercely and painfully descriptive about the lasting effects of her father's behavior and her horrific childhood -- and on several different levels. She was unafraid to get into some deep, deep shit. The frog-dissection analogy stopped me in my tracks. This was pure fury, but also so poetic and profound. I hope she can get help and prosper someday, and I hope others can be inspired to tell their stories because she told hers. Child abuse is just tragic.

Rachael, nothing that happened to you is your fault. You never chose to be harmed, neglected, manipulated and made to think you are a problem while the man that deliberately hurt you has never had to answer and be punished for the destruction he caused in this life for so many. My uncle raped me, I told my mom who did believe me but convinced me that it would cause too much trouble for her and the whole family if we let anyone else know. I was allowed to not be at home if he came over but during family events that was not always possible and I was expected to smile and pretend everything was normal. I grew up and had extensive education to become a trauma therapist because I had to make sure that I became the help I needed when I was a child and teenager. All the academic explanation in the world for why he hurt me, why my mom made her choices and why I went along with it? There is no amount of knowledge that can erase the impact of such terrible events. I’m 54 yes old now, have healed in the sense that those past events do not enter my daily thoughts, I have a beautiful family and a content life. You will too because you were brave enough to tell the truth in this video and to be a protector of your wonderful son. I know you did not seek out, invite, cause or enjoy what your father did to you. I believe you because it is not just your truth, it’s THE truth. There will be millions of views of this video and that makes me so proud of you because in this moment you gave a voice to each of us who suffered as kids; through you and thanks to Mark, we are all finally heard. Thank you. ❤

I have never heard such pain and trauma told in such an eloquent way before. There were moments when it felt like I was listening to a poet the only way to deal with such terrible things at that time being to weave the grief into words that sound just as raw as they were genuine.

I know right? We know that her healing has begun because she is able to be matter of fact. Some people have the idea that if someone is able to be articulate, then they must be lying. In fact thee exact opposite is true. When we are well into our healing process we are able to talk about our experiences coherently. Again, Thank you Rachael. 💝💜💚

I can not fathom how a parent won’t believe that their child is being molested by their significant other when it is STRAIGHT FROM THEIR CHILD’s MOUTH. It just blows my mind.

It’s terribly common predators prey on weak, uneducated or undereducated women or woman who were victims as well. An addict who comes with accessible children is a perfect match.

Same here. I'm no psychologist, but ik this much, people trick themselves into false realities when all the evidence is there and more often than not people don't do whats right, and the cycle continues.

I experienced this. My mom's bf used to climb up the 2nd floor to my sister's room, she'd see his face in the window and pee herself scared under the covers. I did not live w/ them. But I've learned that my mother denied it ever happened to protect herself. She just couldn't admit that something she caused could cause her kid pain. To this day, "it never happened". He kept coming back around til he became too unhinged drunk & high. She quickly moved on.

Rachael has a beautiful yet somber poetry to her speech. It's incredible how she is reconciling her past, and seeing the big picture with such empathy in order to heal. She's amazing to me.

You remind me so much of my Dad. He was also molested at a young age, as well as being sold as a young boy. He began having many flashbacks when I was born. He was the best Dad, despite the fact he struggled with what happened to him. He broke the cycle and I am so thankful for him. He also helped many other victims heal, because he so deeply understood their pain. We need stronger laws against pedophiles. They do so much damage.

She’s hyper intelligent. Her comprehension and analysis of her own trauma is just impressive. I believe she’s so ahead of the game where her healing is concerned. In addition; I think she can help many victims of the like hell she endured.

Thank you Rachael for telling your story. You are truly helping others to heal alongside you. Takeaway GEMS: "I wanted love so badly from a place that didn't exist which was myself" "You can't hold yourself back from the traumas that you've had, but who you are and how you treat people after is 100% your responsibility" "It is your responsibility to make sure you heal so you don't bleed on those people"🙏🙏
