if knives can talk my twitch II would tell stories that would draw attention to DCFS... if the knife were human. bought it in my college years and i used the thing to slice through hundreds of beer cans. i used it to cut copper wire while scrapping electronics for some spare cash. I tore this thing through carbide sharpeners with sick amounts of pressure before i knew anything about sharpening. i used the spine to pop open beer bottles and beat on things...after all this the knife held up and is still soooo solid. i remember when my twitch II lost a screw from the pocket clip...the knife was so great and meant so much to me i started taking screws out of my macbook to replace the missing screw....such a great knife. has awesome looks and awesome function for what it is.

The blades on these knives are what made me fall in love and I'm not talking just about looks but just how tuff they are and how long they hold an edge even with heavy use.

Saw this video and went out and bought the knife tonight, so far I am very impressed with this knife and have already started using it. Mine does have a little blade play but so insignificant that it should come out with a little adjustment to the pivot screw. Thank you for the recommendation Nutnfancy.

My first EDC knife was the Twitch II, 6 years ago when I was in school. It broke in the washing machine, and I carried about 5 other EDC knives before I got another Twitch II, been carrying it ever since. I love it.

Dude, I’m so pumped to see that you dig this blade! I’ve been carrying a Twitch II M-F, 8-5 for about a year and love it. If you are an IT-type or desk jockey who needs a small EDC blade that is sleek in pocket, the Twitch II is for you. I bought mine despite the fact that you had never reviewed it; I just figured you didn’t dig the aluminum scales. I’m feeling pretty vindicated now that it has found its place in TNP though!

I'm having another go-around with SOG again lately. Loving it. What I really need is an Aegis. Don't know why I don't have one yet. Love the blade shape. The Twitch is good, too. Like the Vision series, have the Mini X-Ray 5-6 years now, still carry it once in a while, work it into the rotation. Thanks again Nutn, always educational.

Came to youtube for the Kershaw Scallion, and was instantly hooked on your channel. I LOVED my CRKT M16-14M while serving, but it's impractical for civilian carry and it's sat in my hiking backpack since. I wanted something smaller, lighter, black on black, flipper deployment, assisted open, and tip up clip capability (that's why I was interested in the Scallion). I spent most of my Sunday watching your reviews, and I *just* ordered my black/black SOG Twitch II. I'm stoked, thanks for the info!

@SergeiMosinJr You're right...it did take time! I think the CS Kukri dominates the KaBar, also in the Project for testing. Don't get me wrong, KaBar Kukri is also awesome but does not have the same swing weight and thickness. However I'm just starting its test phase and I may be in for some surprises.

I came across this little gem at the local sporting goods store...I flicked it open once and I had to buy it. Its funny to read the reviews on Amazon, as there are several mall ninjas on there that gave it 3/5 stars. I bought this nice cause its quite inconspicuous yet very functional, yet technologically advanced. I work in state government and wear dress slacks often and this knife says "gentleman"

Great review, nutn. I agree, it's a great EDC knife. I got mine after searching for an alternative to my CRKT Drifter, which is also a great knife that I bought after seeing your review. Unfortunately, I was stopped by law enforcement after the Twitch handle was spotted from my pocket. The AOknife was interpreted as a switchblade. I read my state laws prior to EDCing the blade but I was convinced by the manual that it was not a switchblade nor a gravity knife. So be careful out there. It happens

So I just got this at lowes with the aluminum handle, and i just love to fondle it, in the 2½ hours I've had it, I've used it probably 10 times and I've opened it maybe 200 times already lol. I'm gonna say it was the best $30 I've spent to the date so far. It was on sale, and its just a sexy knife.

When I bought mine the pivot screw was a bit tight out of box, wouldnt deploy all the way to lock everytime. Backed it off just a touch and now it deploys nice and fast and locks up on every deployment. So if you guys are having issues with deployment just loosen the pivot a little bit.

i have one of these knives that i bought to replace a lost leek (same price range). i have really come to like the blade shape and even though it is a little heavier than the leek i was used too, the twitch 2 still disappeared in my pocket. i also love the brushed color clip and the graphite-ish color. the knife disappears in khaki slacks just as well as blue jeans. and because the blade is aus8, it does not have perfect edge retention, but it will sharpen up like a razor.

Thanks for the review! I have had both the aluminum and Zytel versions for about a year and although I love them both, I actually dig the Zytel one better. The scales are slightly thicker and it just feels better in my hand. I feel the balance is better too, as the aluminum one is a bit back heavy. My Zytel copy does not have the slop that your friend's showed, so maybe he got a lemon.

I don't mind the music at all. I see it as a tool to fill the audio gap when showing slides of still photos, short video clips where the audio is not so important, text-laden screens where there is no narration, during intros and outros. I do agree that some folks go overboard with the music, but I don't think Nutn's ever really been guilty of that in any of the video's I've seen.

Hey! nutn great to see old-school knife review. You didn't explain this strange locking system, first time I see this kind. It looks like another weird invention like Benchmade Nagara's Nak-Lok which is very weak and easily develop blade play. I'll stick to my frame-lock CRKT Drifter. Nothing can beat it for the price. Oh btw for khukhri coating I use only patina, It looks sick on mine ;)

As an EDC, seems like a SAK, e.g. Cadet or Soldier, gives you more capability for the size and weight. The one-hand opening is nice, but how important is that for a small EDC? I have a Twitch II, and it is a fun knife, but most days a SAK finds its way into my pocket. SAK is hands down the most useful knife ever.
