I also had experienced an encounter with one of those centipedes while in Vietnam. Fortunately a guy had this one in a screen cage. Very venomous and huge. This one was at least a foot long. Just one of many weird things I had the opportunity to see while on my tour over there.

These stories are legendary! I first found John Plaster’s book when I was in high school or college. Greatly influenced my decision to join the Army. Can’t get enough of them! I can 1000% verify that the jungles of Vietnam have centipedes larger than anything any American will find exploring our national parks. Actually found the centipede I’m referring to at the Cu Chi Tunnels site.

We have giant red-headed centipedes in Missouri and there was a guy camping here that had one walk across his chest while he was asleep. Apparently their legs/feet do carry a small amount of venom, and because of the proximity to his heart it actually did kill him just by walking on him. Terrifying creatures those centipedes are....

He resides in Franklin, Ohio and conducted an Interview through The Cincinnati Public Library. It would be interesting, insiteful, and comprehensive to gain the perspective of boots on the ground; like with yourself and as well as the perspect of Top Intellegence Personell in a single interview regarding Secret Missions in Vietnam.
