Great question! We work on these 4-5 days a week. This is just an edited glimpse of how much time he actually spends perfecting each concept.

This is good work for Isaac but his strength and size will always be his main advantage as his offensive game develops. You see it mainly on the fast break where he can build up speed which makes him very difficult to stop in the open court because he’s built more like a football player. Halfcourt offense? Ehhh his advantage is basically cancelled because he’s just not fluid in his offensive movements at this point. And game situations to use this stuff he’s working on rarely arise in the halfcourt because he’s ALWAYS playing off the ball because he’s never going to be a primary ballhandler.

Good points Richard! That's why the primary focus of the workout is "playing off the catch" and attacking closeouts.

@@TheTransition_ I understand what you’re saying, but most of the time defenders don’t even bother closing out on Okoro because they still don’t respect his outside shot. Clearly, his shot has gotten better as evidenced by his 3P FG% was a very respectable 39.1% last regular season. Yet that higher percentage should be no surprise because so many of his shots are incredibly WIDE open because his defender is always sagging and ready to help on Donovan. But then Okoro turned around and shot 25.7% from behind the arc last postseason. So to not respect Okoro’s outside shot is still on his scouting report. I like Okoro and think people don’t give him nearly enough credit for his elite level defense. I just hope the pace of his offensive development continues and quickens…there’s still unstopped potential.

@@richardcollins2622 Definitely. No argument. His primary goal this offseason has been to improve his shooting from above the break in order to put more pressure on defenders instead of defaulting to only shooting wide open 3s from the corners.

This is where the fear of him hitting the jumper comes in… it gives the defense a whole other dimension to have to key in on
