But we also see people in Turkey and other muslim secular nations living peacefully. Over reliance on religion causes extremism and problems. Abrahamic religions like Islam, Christianity and Judaism have old customs and political systems which are irrelevant in today's age. Christianity doesn't say much about how to run a society. But Islam being a recent religion has many rules and laws. Like the Sharia Law. Most muslims in pakistan blindly love and follow organizations like TLP and prefer religion to proper education. Here is the too late, didnt read: Islam tries to answer many political, social and even scientific problems which are 1400 years old now. Living on those will only take you back into dark ages.

Unfortunately when it comes to religion, every other religion is open to criticism and debate, including Christianity today(where the church was responsible for many deaths in the past). For example, many Muslims openly say that Jesus was a Islamic prophet and not son of god. and Christians listen to it and will try to have a healthy debate. Difference is that Islam doesn't allow that tolerance and there is no secular Islamic country in the world. You say a word against their religion, they will pick up arms. Its the only religion that preaches that. The problem is the preaching, that it is a perfect religion and those not following it are dirt and deserve to die. This teaching is feed into their minds by the closest and most trusted people and is repeated by them 5 times a day. so its like a cult which had been hypnotised. I don't expect any major change, sensitivity or consciousness developing in the people following this religion. On top of it they have been desensitised by all the animal killing by halal etc. For them cutting a animal or a human is normal. It pains me to say this.
