Sohyang just knows how to rip your heart out with her voice. "...just to make it more painful..." this comment somehow made me smile. Yes, she made us feel along with her singing every step of the way.

Thanks for the reaction. We can not know if anyone personally influenced this performance by the great singer So Hyang, but she has been married to the same person for two and half decades. I feel she is just so dedicated to her work that she is able to channel all of those emotions through empathy and let them out in her voice. Remarkable performance, like so many, many of hers are.

Exactly. She is also a talented actress (The Sound of Music) and has the performance ability to convey the emotion implicit in every song. However, it is not Sohyang's acting talent, but it is her deeply sweet spirit, that genuinely delivers the emotion.

This is one of her 10 best performances as are most of the KOMS. She is Phenomenal at telling the story and emotion that the song was meant to Convey! We all Love You SoHyang!

Rick, thanks for another Sohyang performance. As you point out, she has the depth of soul to always convey the emotion contained within a song. This song was written by an acquaintance who penned it in the midst of the very experience. I am 99 percent certain that Sohyang won that contest - probably overwhelmingly. The PHENOMENAL So Hyang IS NOT well here. This is one of several performances where she was still recovering from a severe bout with pneumonia (eight times between 2016 - 2020). She is sitting down because she didn't feel strong enough to stand while singing this song. Her vocal technique is FLAWLESS!!

@B-Drags-Den She has a compromised immune system. So Hyang contracted Hepatitis B or C, from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery two decades ago. This has made her suseptible to getting pneumonia.
