Love your Reaction video on SoHyang! Yeah been following this Amazing Woman ! She has been doing more and more since 2020! She is 45 and going stronger and stronger! Part of the reason is at 20 she got married , she says both her and her husband dreamt about being visited by God, urge the two to get married quickly so they move things along quickly! They did not know why God was in such a hurry! Well after their Wedding ,SoHyang went to her Doctor for a complete check up in case they decide to have a family soon! The Doctor shocked when he told her she had ovarian cancer on one side but if they operated quickly they could stop the spread before it became life threatening! She went for surgery in short order, her husband and his parents wait in the waiting room ! Just before closing her up the surgeon decided to check the other side in case they had missed anything - Surpr it was also cancerous ! He called the Family in to consul with him and told them I might able to save this side but it is risky! Her husbands Father spoke out immediately don’t take any chance, save SoHyang and if they want children later, there are so many children that need loving homes. So it was done! SoHyang was so grateful that the decision was made and she would easily recover! She said this is why God wanted us to marry quickly, without the marriage she would have waited to long as she didn’t visit Doctor very often! God and the decision to Marry had saved her life! Unfortunately she contracted ,Hepatitis they figured from the blood she had received! It cause her immune system to weaken ! So during a period of less then 3 years she suffered from 8 attacks of serious Pneumonia infections! When she sang ,Your Raise Me Up, it was so bad she thought it would be her last Performance( the Doctor told her not to Perform, but she said I promise Jesus I would sing for his people to lift their ,Spirits when the are down! Some of those people would been in that audience, so she must sing to honour her promise so she sang this Gem! Came here after seeing the live performance clip of this song. Sohyang's secular work has always been a precious piece of art for admiration and appreciation, brimming with intricately composed execution and shining with the aura of exquisiteness. When she sings for her faith, you can feel the sense of relaxation and the willingness to absolve of restraints but only to express her joy rooted in her deeply held belief. The feeling of exuberant excitement is palpable and infectious. I get excited from watching her performance here. It reminds me of her singing "Lean On Me" with Kirk Franklin, but more refined and at ease.
