I knew absolutely nothing about Taeyeon a week ago when my wife and I found the Begin Again series on KZbin and started bingeing it. When we got to Begin Again 3 (Berlin) and I heard Taeyeon for the very first time, I was immediately captivated by her and all I wanted to do was see more of her performances. When I watched her rendition of Adele's "When We Were Young" and it brought tears to my eyes, I knew she was incredibly special because Adele has never done that for me -- and the tears come every single time I watch it. In addition to her truly flawless live performance, I think it's the emotional reaction of the audience that keeps drawing the tears.

I'm so glad Begin Again introduced her to you! Taeyeon is a phenomenal singer. She is big in South Korea and is a member of Girls' Generation, a legendary girl group there. You should check out her songs and albums. I would probably would start with her solo debut album, "I". Some of my favorite songs from her would be "UR", "Gravity," "Here I Am". She just has too many masterpieces to list!

Ya know, she saw the dark side of „that“ industry and it affects her. She was gifted with something very beautiful and it wasn’t always easy to acknowledge that considering the circumstances. But this right here, performing in front of strangers, people who do not know her for her fame, and being able to form a genuine connection to these strangers through music….
