All major soils are made up of different types of rock minerals. Gravel, sand and silt soils are generally made up of primary rock-forming minerals like Quartz and Feldspar and Clay soils, on the other hand, are made up of minerals which are evolved from the chemical weathering of primary rock-forming minerals.

I am a third year student at IIT Bhubaneswar and watching this play list now and having mid sem exam tomorrow. I am really feeling unfortune that I get to know this channel today itself( a day before the exam) while randomly searching youtube. I wish to watch the whole play list. Why illite absorbs more water than kaolinite shouldn't it be the opposite? Potassium ion bond is stronger than hydrogen bond. Shouldn't it be more water resistant?
