Good information on aglonema potting mix. Please clarify whether we can add neem powder, bonemeal, slow release fertilizer granules & fungicide to this potting mix?. As far as growing the aglonema cuttings, river sand as potting media alone would give good results provided the plant is covered with polythene cover.

Is it different from dieffenbachia plant ? I can't give much care to plants i canonly give water in morning only. Is it suitable for me? Does it require lots of care?

Both belong to the same "Family" but have some different characteristics. Aglaonema is also easy to grow, water requirement is nearly the same as Dieffenbachia. Just reduce watering during the months of winter. 🌱🌻🌱🌻

You need to wash it by yourself dear. But it is not mandatory. You can directly use it to prepare the potting soil. 😊🍁🍁

Red soil sometimes can cause root rot on indoor aroid plants by logging water. So it’s better to add some gritty substances such as perlite, pumice, sand, stone, & rice hull in order to make the soil breathable. 🌷🌷
