Thanks. Winterthorn is not near any mains power lines, so it has always been run on solar. We had started out with separate panel arrays for each pump, but are now consolidating a power distribution network around the farm. The distances between points are a challenge. One silver lining of the power crisis is that it has pushed us to learn much more about solar power systems.

Question wouldn't the organic matter that you add to the bed. Compromise your soil sample? I am here thinking that it will show high organic matter that you added to the beds and not what was there before u added your compost

I can see your logic. But it's actually the other way around. We want to test the actual soil in which the crop will be growing, and that includes all the extra organic material that was added. In fact, the soil test results and recommendations usually advise that we add some organic material for better yields. This way, we are getting a head start and will have to add less.

Taonga ba Muwowo. Sadly, we don't do visits as the farms are busy working places. Having visits gives us challenges meeting our targets and deliverables. But we put a lot of effort into producing these KZbin videos as our way of helping as many others as possible. If you watch the video again, you will see where I mentioned the issue towards the end
