@@SoilandMargaritas Look up honeyvine milkweed...that might be what you have mixed with your cosmos. If so, it's a native and great for monarchs (and attracts oleander aphids).

I LOVE the barrier you've created with your hydrangeas. We live in a new build that we moved into in 2017 (in Southern Indiana). I wish we' had of planted our side yard like this. I had three of these in my front bed that got so big we had to remove them. I saved one! Are yours in full sun all day?

So beautiful! How do you keep the bottom part of the Hydrangeas free of branches? They are almost like trees! Do you have to just keep cutting all of the branches that grow on the bottom or do they eventually stop growing down there after a few years of cutting them off?
@SoilandMargaritas
@SoilandMargaritas 25 күн бұрын
I have way more details on the link in the description where I answer most of these questions but basically yes, I remove all the growth that wants to come from the bottom part to keep them in this shape

Hi how do you keep the limelight them from flopping? Mine are flopping from the rain.
@SoilandMargaritas
@SoilandMargaritas 25 күн бұрын
Mine flopped one year from a lot of rain and also because I added irrigation, I removed it since then. I normally don’t have any problems with that but I prune them hard in the spring only leaving the strong branches to hold the weight.
