Its a Masterpiece, perfection! This is how a band grows but stays themselves.

you heard the whole album?

@@paulflint6254 yes. and the complaint it to long is not warranted. Never to much of a good thing.

@@timblack1983I agree. Whoever says it’s too long, forgot about The Living Infinite album. It’s basically a double album. Almost an hour and a half long. I don’t think the length the album matters if the songs are good. Soilwork is like Unto Others, to me. Not sound-wise but the fact that they aren’t afraid to try anything new. You can’t wait to see what they do next.

Super excited for this album. I'm a lifelong Soilwork fan. I've loved every album they put out, some more than others, but I've loved their transition throughout the years. My favorite stuff is still late 90s early 2000s Soilwork, but I'm very much loving their new stuff as well. I love songs that have a lot of twists and turns, so I'm glad to hear a lot have them.

This has been a great time for melodeath! We've had great albums from Soilwork, Arch Enemy, The Halo Effect and In Flames released two great singles giving hope that they're returning to their classic sound!

Soilwork play melodic groove metal now. I like their ancient albums when they played melodic death metal. A very good band it is.
@loviepittsburgh22222 жыл бұрын
Their sound has very much changed from their more traditional melodic death, but I am liking their new stuff. It's fresh, it keeps me on my toes, it's not the same old stuff over and over.

Listened to it twice now, and it's definitely a big album journey experience as you say. Solid throughout, and seems like a grower. I was a bit worried after Nous Somme La guerre, but thankfully it was the only weak track on the album. It's not necessarily the direction I would've wanted them to go, but good nonetheless

Hope the mastering job is better this time out. Verkligheten had the worst I've ever heard, and it's so frustrating because this is my favorite band and that one is basically unlistenable at higher volumes. All static.

I actually thought it was quite bloated. They have their style now and they’ve been sticking to it. Very good musicians but I really felt a lack of stand out tracks really hampered this one for me

@@Nall412 it’s still great but it’s overly long

@@GrahamRay2040 its a very good album, but yah, some tracks could have been skipped. I think if they kept it at 10 tracks it would have been much better. I love it, but I would take less tracks over filler content any day. The Ride Majestic had only like 1 filler song, and that album was pure perfection.

This album was quite underwhelming, in my humble opinion. Their older music is multitudes better; I felt like they were trying too much here.
