Video of day two of eight of a sojourn completed on the Susquehanna River.
We started day 2 by packing up our camp and setting out from the Larndard-Hornbrook Park and finished the day at a beautiful hidden gem called the French Azilum. If you don't know anything about it, we highly recommend looking into. Napoleon Bonaparte and the Queen of France both have ties to it and are responsible for it being what it is today. The last photo in this video was taken at the French Azilum.
There's also something called the Marie Antoinette Overlook just a little way down river and an on the opposite side from the French Azilum. You can easily see the French Azilum from it. The overlook is easily accessible as you can drive right up to it.
Do an internet search and look into those places. You won't be disappointed, especially if you're into forgotten history.
DO YOU KNOW OF ANY INTERESTING HISTORY OR MOSTLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT SITES ALONG THE RIVER? IF SO, WE'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THEM. COMMENT BELOW AND LET US KNOW. WE MAY BE ABLE TO FEATURE SOME OF THEM IN A FUTURE VIDEO.
