Thank you so much for explaining and having the transmitter in the picture when showing the trick of using "Throttle Hold" so as to not have to disconnect the motor's 3 wires every time. I watched other videos and read postings where this was talked about, but then not explained how to set the transmitter to do that. So you have to get into the "Pitch Curve" setting; "Throttle Hold" mode, and go from 0, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 100 on the graph and set 0%, 25%, 75% & 100% respectively. Thanks, Jay

I'm impressed you went 4 and half minutes rambling about needless bullshit before you used the pitch gauge.

Great video. Thanks a lot. I also used your head set up series - as equally good. Thanks again. Happy flying

the pitch guage is used so that the head setup from servos up will all be center. and used to verify equal pitch throw. trim will be used after the head is tracked and to null out minor adj is need for dynamic forces.

trim is for after the head is tracked not to be used to level and mechanical controls. as for the setup using hold you can use both ways if your hold pitch curve is set the same as the other flight mode you use. it would be the same but it is safer to unplug motor.

its recommended on all collective pitch rotor systems. unless u have a well cxalibrated eye to know how many degrees the rotor blades is
@sokal11

can be either way as long as pitch curve position 3 is 50 wich is mid stick but setting up in idleup/full pitch range is ideal

Thanks man for uploading this, I bought a Hausler 450 V2 3D Helicopter used on ebay, had bought a pitch gauge as well and they had the full throttle pitch of rotor blade on 13 degrees not sure if that is way to steep? but I heard you say 10 is good so plan on bringing it down a bit.

What do you mean by "already tracking your rotor system"? How do you do that?

pitch guage is to adj the blades as for the swash you need a swash level or other techniques. i have made other vids to set up the head. check them out

When you use throttle hold to check pitch,you are ONLY checking the pitch in throttle hold mode....You need to unplug the motor and check the pitch in ALL flight modes and make sure the swash is level in all throttle positions....Otherwise,nice video.
