My teacher Soke Michael Depasquale Jr (God Rest his soul and grant him eternal peace amen) had great respect for Soke Lil John Davis, a true legend for sure. Amazing man and a great martial artist

If you think Soke Little John Davis is not a fighter then you're Martial Arts observation skills are very poor. There are too many keyboard Warriors on KZbin! You can't analyze any Martial Arts instructor skills just by watching a video alone. Let me ask you a question Does the Triad (Chines Mafia ) and the Yakuza ( Japanese Mafia) respect your Martial Arts skills? What about M13-( The Mexican Mafia)? Well, they highly respect Soke Little John Davis's skills! Oss.
@KingELon3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelellis141 I respect your opinion but a "keyboard warrior" I definitely am not... Do believe... I understand what it means to FIGHT with both exhaustion and skills... Let the teacher teach is my basic statement thats something you might not understand... My point to you is his days have come and gone but his skill remains so respect the man for his skills which can be passed on to another warrior... Dont get emotional sir...

@@MrClaysta Oss! Unfortunately, some people can only see with their natural eyes and have no clue of The Iron Wire Form, Zen Chi focus often referred to as Dynamic Tension or what Little John Davis is all about. The bottom line is this C-you and I are not giving our opinions, no we are stating proven facts.

It's easier when it's coming at you. We train the real thing also with faster people than who you are talking about and they are less wide open coming at you. After training we have to fight the whole class coming at you.

Respect to any martial style, we can pull a little bit of something from all of them but this seems like any average “self defense style” martial art. Does Soke Davis spar with his techniques to make sure the are sufficient in real life scenarios. Anything can look good and effective when the guy is not fighting, resisting, or complying with the instructor.

@@michaelellis141 I have seen some clips and videos. Like I stated I respect any man, especially black, that does martial arts and starts their own martial art. That’s an accomplishment, but from what I have seen in Soke Little John’s videos is watered down “karate” sparring. Which is not bad. It seems good for exercise, kids, and just may work on enemies that don’t know what they are doing. But if this was against a trained fighter who knows MMA(Boxing, Muay Thai, Wresting, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu) or “combat” martial arts, his style would not hold up. Especially against an superb grappler. I say learn what works on trained fighters/killers then you can add flare from other styles like Aikido, Hapkido, Karate etc
@michaelellis1413 жыл бұрын
@@briancottingham1674 You have no idea of who Soke Little John Davis is, his history, or what he can do. So why don't you get in touch with him and offer him a challenge and then you'll see as your recovering from the hospital if you're still breathing that is! And I know of a surety that you have not grown up in the inner city!
@kungfuspic4 жыл бұрын
That’s a very hard technique to get off... I know Soke Lil John can do it cause I experienced a few things from him and he’ been in the arts for decades. But to get the average joe to learn this is hard. You gotta have at lease 3 to 5 yrs of martial arts experience to understand and get this technique off.
