I might have to disagree on this one, I really think that the ginger note gives Twilly a more modern and sparkly vibe that lacks in perfumes like My Way that smell a lot more classic (and a bit generic) to me. I really like it. 😊

The original Twilly is really a masterpiece! Even if you dont personally like it so much you have to admire the quality and craftmanship. It is so well blended. Classy and elegant. The flankers are lovely as well.

I disagree with this review. On my skin, it smells beautiful, chic and modern. Less powdery on me too. This perfume always puts a smile on my face. It’s so special. It also lasts for hours on my skin. Easily one of the top 5 in my collection.

I randomly smelled Eau Poivrée at Sephora and fell in love with it. It's my favorite of the three, although the original is great. Eau Ginger was too bright and clean for my taste.

It is gorgeous..I spray a lot on me juts because I can't get enough of it..It's a fresh,classyand feminine smell...And for a person like me who is a huge Chanel fragrance's fan is very dificult to find something similar to them but this one is definitely a good choice!

I was in a Hermès store this past weekend and these definitely got me!! I had not been a fan of the Terre D’Hermès my husband wears. He LOVES that one! Anyway, they sent me home with a bag of scents to try! I usually wear Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel, but this time I’m leaning towards the Twilly d’Hermès as I love strong scents. This one seems “thick” to me. Weird way of describing it, but it is strong and a bit heavy if you don’t like that~ I however LOVE it! Like laundry or fresh soap with spice and floral. Definitely a fall/winter scent. The Twilly d’Hermès eau Ginger is quite a bit lighter. The ginger is pretty prominent. I didn’t like this at first, but it did grow on me. This wasn’t mentioned, but the Tutti Twilly d’Hermès is sweet and really good too! Still, the OG Twilly is it for me!

I agree with you. I enjoy Twilly Ginger in a hot weather, it really is refreshing and you really have to like ginger. However, on my skin peony really starts kicking in after about 15/ 20 mins. Thank you for this helpful review! I bought the Eau Poivree for outside because I thought it wouldn't be too flirty, but as beautiful as it is, and is growing on me every time I smell it, it's too powdery to be believeable on my personality. It’s funny to me? It truly is ageless meaning nothing to me? Smells older ? Because once it’s on a individual…it will create its own scent ? I think there are new and older FORMULATIONS …but it’s whose wearing it that makes the scent ? If that makes any sense ha like Chanel 5 I wear that and mixes well on me…I get ton of compliments on “older perfumes”….aka formulations

Ah I don’t speak French. I always think that the purpose of language is to communicate a meaning. If you got that the meaning Of what I was saying then why does it matter, it’s fulfilled it’s purpose …
@ChristinaMagma3 жыл бұрын
@@SokiLondon it just shows that you educated yourself on the product and have put the effort in your review, also just fyi the French are very critical people in general.
@thebridewearsblack3 жыл бұрын
I agree with how critical some french people are yes. Also, as a Spanish native, if I had the need to correct people when saying Carolina Herrera... I'd spend days. Thank goodness I don't get that urge. I have arabic fragrances and a close friend who speaks arab, even though she teaches me how to pronounce those names, it's impossible for me to mimic those sounds. Don't get upset for nothing ❤ also, saying Soki hasn't "educated herself" because of this topic seems quite harsh for me. I send you my best wishes for the New Year 🥰
@samseow31142 жыл бұрын
I just came across this video. I live and work in Singapore and we live, as you do, in a multi racial society. It’s true that the purpose of language is to communicate. Hence the need to communicate accurately and to respect the pronunciations of each language so as to be effective and respectful. Within one video you had managed to pronounced the name inconsistently several ways, one of them sounding like ‘herpes’. I don’t mean to throw shade but I do think we each have a responsibility to respect people’s and brands’ names as they are meant to be pronounced. At least try to not be inconsistent. Otherwise your viewers who watch these shows to learn about products from brands may either be thrown off or (wrongly or otherwise) think you irresponsible. I was personally turned off by how someone trying to review luxury products not even bothering to learn their correct pronunciations. Thus felt the need to say something. I don’t know you and genuinely mean no harm. Just my personal view.
