The road which starts from Illela town of Illela local government area of Sokoto is expected to pass through seven states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos States respectively, was awarded to Hitech Construction Company Limited.

Look at how rundown and dusty the town looks,nigerian leaders are wicked.I actually did not realize the sokoto badagary road was once started,there was a constructed section...It would be nice to start work on both ends of the higherway this time around.Thank you.

Infact I was told buses from Lagos ply that road before to Sokoto instead of the normal route because it was faster.

I am not sure if they have mobilized to start the Sokoto-Badagry highway. I know the minister mentioned it is one of the legacy projects but I am not sure if money has been released to start.

The minister has done the ground breaking at multiple states of the north in 2024, but I don’t know if the work continues since then
