Half the people who complain about Sol, just want to "fit in" the fgc. Strive is a lot of people's first big boy fighting game, so a lot of these people who complain, don't understand simple concepts that have existed in fighting games. For example I have a buddy who strive is his first fighting game, and he complains about Sol's pressure (because that's what he read on Reddit), but whenever we play he dies from meatys' and reversals all day long. I had to explain to him what a meaty is. Then I had to explain that he shouldn't complain about a game he clearly doesn't understand. This is the majority of people who say dumb shit.

Sol is good, broken even, but sooo far from the real broken shit in launch FGs once put out. Over half of the cast can deal with Sol consistantly, that's like, god tier balancing on launch. In fact the core/basic system of Guilty Gear is what makes it like this. Guilty Gear has a lot of options to "steal turn" if you will, and that leads to defensive situation for Sol. Yes Sol has strong defensive tools and lead to actual unbalanced damage, but you have to "steal turn" first as Sol. 1 wrong guess for others probably mean 60% health deleted with a meter burst which spells more disaster, you still can get 5 wrong guesses in a row and die because that Milla got galaxy brain...or eating paint, you decide. Point is you're against a human that can make mistakes all the time and possibly crash under pressure, tilt that Sol, the second he got careless he's pretty much already dead.
