[ SOLAR 42 + NightSky live ambient set ] Suspended Objects 06 - DARK EMOTIONAL DRONE

Destruction as creation - 8.32 - breakthrough in breakdown.
Last Saturday, we set everything up to record our 6th Suspended Objects video. Everything’s connected. Mixer’s ready to record. Lights, camera, action! Nothing came to us. We recorded/posted a silly short of SOLAR 42 being hella noisy instead & it got more attention than expected. Oh well. On Sunday, we decided to start our improv session using that type of crazy sound we managed to make. Sometimes all it takes is a little more patience & trust in the process, making sure we course-correct when needed. Change is a friendly monster.

amazing session again, thank you. I just love how dark, raw and mysterious this sounds. Then there is that little hope melody in the background that starts rising and turns to an air raid vibe, so good. I still play suspended objects 5 daily, just doesn't get old, you guys are so far off the every day mainstream sound, it is what makes it so special and refreshing. I can just image how crazy this would sound live on some big system at a venue.

Thank you so much! We added the cactus as coverart because of that combination - the raw dark drone + the delicate rising-BPM arpeggio. It’s really encouraging to know that you like Suspended Objects 05 so much you revisit it! Your words mean a lot to us. Our live shows do sound very rich & embracing! We played part of 05 on our last gig & the stage was rumbling with the sound frequencies 🔥 We might play it fully soon as we are doing an intimate gig in July ☺️ Hoping the walls don’t collapse lol (PS: this video also proves that we don’t need the PF3 filter but it is a nice addition)

@@amsin_amsin_amsin with the PF3 filter you had that secondary white noise generation, was nice for Objects 05. Objects 06 is really growing on me and your right, I guess less gear is always better, might even give more creativity being constrained. Then again Solar 42 is a beast, constrained is a bad word for description. If AM sin is ever planning a gig in Toronto Canada please let me know, I will buy tickets right away.

It’s nice to change things up regardless! We still have so much to explore with the gear we have. We never know what is going to come out in each session as we perform by improvisation - it somehow surprises us each time. We planned using the Microcosm pedal on this one but that failed so we had to start with the simplest & it made so much sense. Playing live gigs is our favourite thing, so hopefully Toronto will be a stop on our list. You would be the first to know.
