Hi. Excellent video. One doubt - (10:48) why do the middle latitudes receive minimum insolation at equinoxes? Since the angle of incidence is lower on solstices (eg. the sun is at its lowest in the northern mid-latitudinal sky on winter solstice (22 dec), why is insolation minimum on 21 march (vernal equinox)?

Sir, why minimum insolation will be received during equinoxes? I mean…wouldn’t the temperate region in NH will be receiving minimum insolation when sun is on Tropic of Capricon and vice versa?

sir minimum insolation in the northern hemisphere must be in winter solstice? why equinox. @10:53 can you please explain. when the sun will be in Capricorn then only the minimum insolation will be received in the middle latitude zone of the northern hemisphere. I hope you understood my question?
@pabitrasahoo4378 Жыл бұрын

Hello sir! Can we say that the solar constant is a result of sunspots? As changes in both of these happen after every 11 years ?
@TheGeoecologist2 жыл бұрын
Solar constant is about fixed amount of energy recieved in one unit area....it's not result of sunspot cycle....changes are infinitesimally small....don't draw self conclusions...would be hazardous in answer writing...best wishes 🌱

Please answer in detail of possible...,, Perihelion occurs on 3rd Jan, means Sun is nearest to the sun..., And Aphelion occurs on 4th July, Sun is farthest to the Earth Now the question is, Why cold is there in January although the sun is nearest to earth and why dry and scorching hot is there in June although the sun is farthest to earth?

Sir i want to ask, about definition of solar radiation/insulation at the first slide, there is rate 1,86,000 miles etc.. that's the odd one, that means 1,860,000 or 186,000 miles?? why the point is in between 86 which is 2 number, not 3 number
@TheGeoecologist3 жыл бұрын
1,86,000 (it's not dot, it's comma).
