If your solder joints are not smooth, shiny, and spreads all over the pad, then you have a cold solder joint that will fail. Never use Tin only solder, always use 60% tin, 40% lead rosin core solder with a thin diameter so it melts at a very short rate so you do not damage the battery. Long contact heat will damage the battery, guaranteed! It may even cause it to combust. Good Luck!

Question. Does it have overcharge protection, or should I buy separately one? I've built this powerbank but I'm afraid to leave it unattended when it's charging. I am allways checking the levels of those 4 leds. 😔

probably not bro

@@captainpotato6584 I think it does. I am using my powerbank for more than an year and once the fourth led is not blinking anymore, the powerbank it's charged... I lived my powerbank for more than an hour charged (led not blinking) and nothing happened. It was not even warmed. I think it's overcharge protection. It's a very good powerbank. You can use it as a powerbank, a lamp or a lantern either. It's very usefull if you've got the batteries and you know how to asemble it.

I don't understand why you intentionally short your cells at 2:58 . That's quite dangerous.

what kind of cables are you using?

You conveniently skipped the part where you somehow soldered wire to smooth surfaces on the batteries, which is a fool's errand. Solution: hot glue and/or lots of electrical tape.
